BEFORE, THIS RESTAURANT WOULD ALWAYS HAVE DELICIOUS FOOD, ESPECIALLY THE FRIED CHICKEN AND THE FISH. NOT SO ON THE CHICKEN LATELY. I BELIEVE THAT THEY KEEP THE CHICKEN FROM THE NIGHT BEFORE, AND RE-COOK IT THE NEXT MORNING. YOU CAN GO THERE FIRST THING (11 AM), EXPECTING TO HAVE FRESH HOT CHICKEN. NOT ANYMORE, EVERY TIME, IT IS THE SAME LATELY. DARK, BURNED, OVERCOOKED AND DRY CHICKEN. LOOKS TERRIBLE, NOT APPETIZING AT ALL. THEY DON'T APPEAR TO CHANGE THE OIL , BUT ONCE A WEEK. I HAVE GONE ON DIFFERENT DAYS AND IT IS THE SAME. YOU MIGHT GET LUCKY TO HAVE FRESH OIL ON A SUNDAY, BUT THEY SEEM TO RE-COOK THE CHICKEN FROM THE NIGHT BEFORE, SO YOU ARE STILL OUT OF LUCK. RIVER BUFFET GRILLE, DO BETTER. YOU ALL RECOVERED FROM BEING ON THE NEWS, BACK IN 2018 OR 2019, AND NOW IT IS STARTING AGAIN. DO BETTER. GIVE YOUR CUSTOMERS QUALITY, FRESH AND HOT FOOD. IT IS GETTING TO BE, NOT WORTH THE TRIP TO YOUR RESTAURANT. FOLLOW UP. BASED ON THE OWNER'S RESPONSE, HE DOES NOT CARE THAT HE SERVES LEFTOVER, RE-FRIED CHICKEN. MOST OF US PREFER FRESH CHICKEN THAT WAS COOKED ONLY A SHORT TIME AGO, NOT THE NIGHT BEFORE, AND RE-COOKED AGAIN THE NEXT MORNING. IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN DISPOSED OF THE NIGHT BEFORE. This used to be one of my family’s favorite places to eat but after today, I doubt we’ll go back. We had a horrible experience there today with one of the hostess/waitresses and the manager tried to just laugh it off. We had a party of 9 and when we told the hostess she said that we had to prepay. We asked why because we had never been asked to do this before and she rudely stated it’s on the sign and walked away. We prepaid and then couldn’t find anyone to seat us so we went to find a table on our own. The same girl came over with another girl and I heard her say “I don’t know what they’re doing” so I told her we had paid like she asked and we were trying to find a table. I mentioned there was no one at the hostess stand after we paid. She stated (again rudely) “I told you to pay and then wait for me”. First of all she never said that and second you are not gonna talk that way to me. We took our receipt back and went back to the cashier to request a refund and this girl came following behind us yelling at us about what she told us to do. More of the people that work there came to pull her away once the conversation got heated but then they started telling us she was a minor and she was new, neither of which give her the right to be so rude. I genuinely hope they fired her after the way she acted today because clearly she is bad for business. And management should have much better control of the behavior of...

There's a lot to choose from unfortunately I couldn't eat any of it except the lettuce, tomato, cucumber and mushrooms from the salad portion of the buffet due to a strict diet my doctor has me on. So why the stars if I couldn't eat anything? Well, the food my family ate they loved and instead of paying for an $11 buffet just to eat some lettuce and be with my family the restaurant allowed me to buy my salad by the pound as a takeout order and sit with my family and enjoy their company which cost me less than $2. I also brought my own salad dressing with ingredients that I can eat and put that on my salad so it wasn't just raw veg (Which I came prepared to do at whatever restaurant they decided to visit). The only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the poor rotation of the ham on the salad bar. Someone who was getting a salad at the same time as myself went to scoop out some of the ham but decided against it when thick sticky juices dripped off of the things. She scooped and let it drip a few times to check the freshness of the ham but it didn't look appetizing. But if you're concerned about freshness they have some items that are cooked fresh at the buffet so it's not a make or break for me of one item on the less popular part of the buffet has gone off. Who else really goes to a Chinese restaurant for the salad? I never did...
