*UPDATE *

I changed from 4 stars to 3 stars

Me and my husband recently had the House Special fried rice. We each had only one shrimp in our meal.

We love shrimp so we were disappointed; along with the fact that we paid to have all of the ingredients equally proportioned.

I called the restaurant and informed the person who answered. Her explanation was that on Mondays the regular chef is not there. She did not offer any type of compensation. I told her I felt more than an explanation was needed. She got the manager.

The manager informed us that the cook said he put four shrimp in each order. I informed the manager that wasn’t the case. I also let him know that we visit his establishment frequently and have been loyal customers since they opened.

He said if we returned with our order, he would give us another order with the correct amount of shrimp.

That was unacceptable as we did not feel like going back out and was going into a virtual meeting.

He offered a $4.00 credit on our next order. Honestly, I doubt if we will return. I didn’t like being haggled and thought he could’ve done more.

The food was and is good but Customer Service; especially coming from a manager is important to us!

The food is delicious 😋 and they give nice portion sizes. Also, they are reasonably priced. The staff is usually friendly. It looks like they're closed from the outside but they are open for business. We always order ours to go. Their sanitation...

I have been a loyal customer of this establishment for over five years, but my recent experience has completely shattered my opinion of their service. The entitled and rude female front desk staff demonstrated the epitome of unprofessionalism and disrespect. Despite my food being ready, she falsely claimed it wasn't and proceeded to deny me the usual service I've come to expect. When I expressed my confusion, she had the audacity to accuse me of being rude, solely based on how she perceived my expression. This is not my first time navigating their system, and I have never encountered such appalling behavior. It's evident that customer satisfaction is not a priority for this establishment, as they condone such disrespectful behavior from their staff. I chose to leave without taking my food, not because of any issue with the food itself, but because I refuse to support a business that employs individuals who lack basic courtesy and professionalism.I will not be returning to this restaurant, and I will actively discourage anyone I know from patronizing it. It's a shame that despite their decent food, the abhorrent behavior of their front desk staff has tarnished the entire experience. Management needs to take immediate action to address such behavior, or they risk losing more loyal customers...

Food was fine, but very poor wait staff. I dined in at Koishi one Sunday evening with my gal. The waitress was clearly newer, so I can overlook some things, but found the poor service inexcusable. The restaurant was only about half full when we arrived, but there were only two or three servers working. After we were seated, it took 5-10 minutes before a waitress came by and were provided glasses of water. I ordered an easy appetizer when the waters were provided in case the kitchen was busy with take out orders. The waitress didn't come back by for about 20 minutes at which time we ordered entrees. The appetizer didn't show up for about 55 minutes. And entrees were served on top of the appetizer a few minutes later. We weren't served food until the patrons in the restaurant were dwindling, and peak dinner hours were over. The only explanation we received was that the kitchen was backed up with take out orders. I don't like to assume, but I suspect that the waitress forgot to drop the both the orders after we gave them to her.

The food was fine, but one can find similar food of equivalent quality elsewhere in the area. I've never been so close to just walking out of a place before. Therefore, I won't be returning and am not an advocate for this...

Best best best sushi around. My daughter begs to go here. We go at least once a week. Updated....... Let me just say that we are sadly disappointed that are wonderful experiences at Koishi have come to an end all because of the rudeness and extreme unprofessional service of what seems to be the manager or owner himself. While the food remains amazing it is not worth having your waiter slam plates on your table, totally forget half the order, just sit stuff on the table and say you figure out who it goes to. And to have your tip already calculated in the bill for a Party of Five seems a little extreme. parties of 6 or more I can understand but just five? no wonder you don't feel the need to try to earn a tip if you're already going to calculate it in yourself. We will not be going back again. We experienced 3 different horrible visits all of which we were hosting other couples and after raving to them about the delicious food we were utterly embarrassed at the service.

This is my third time trying out Koishi in the last 3 years. The first two times were mediocre at best. However, I thought I would give it one more try seeing as Koishi is the only Asian restaraunt within a few miles of where I reside. Once again I was disappointed to say the least. I ordered General Tso Shrimp. It had so much mushy breading on it that it turned my stomach. This picture consist only of the breading left after we ate the shrimp. This will be our last time purchasing food and Koshy other than sushi. We also had sushi. It was fresh and delicious. I will order sushi again.

Koishi is one of the few places we enjoyed eating Asian food and liked the service. Also, one of the least expensive lunch we had in months. The look from outside could be deceiving. We don't eat Sushi, but the soup and main courses were really flavorful. Service is prompt and sincere. The reason for not a five star is primarily because we asked for really hot/spicy main courses, but I had to add a lot of chili oil to make it hot. Also it looked as if it was closed from the parking lot, I had to go inside and confirm. Will visit again when we are in mood for Chinese food.
