** I write a lot of Google Reviews but rarely go in this detailed. This location is top notch, so please let me explain:
This location is BEYOND amazing. The service staff is by far the best I've encountered at any BB nation wide. I drive OTR, so I have visited locations in 7 states! My wife and I have never had a bad experience here. It started 5 years ago when we wandered in for a Black Friday event! Oddly, we don't do BF and had previously written off BB due to experiences at other locations! We met Lupe that night and the rest is history lol. It was our last BF experience though. The GM is awesome, but Lupe is the catalyst for the amazing personal service IMO. It doesn't matter what I'm there for, Lupe spots me and greets me by name every time! Years ago he started introducing me to specific floor associates as his friend depending on what product I was there for. I cant name all the associates that have delivered exceptional service over the years because it has been literally every one of them!
We have outfitted every room in our house via BB since. I've also done custom audio in multiple vehicles and my semi trucks. From washing machines to small appliances like shark blenders, they have products for every aspect of your home/vehicle/business. Find a price online or locally and they consistently BEAT the advertised price. Despite being a national chain, they feel like a locally owned mom and pop business. That's amazing! Other local competitors dont stand a chance if BB has it or can get it. One of the biggest scams in the game is price match, but this location skips the nonsense. Identical products are traditionally marked with a slight change in model name for specific retailers. Example, Frigidaire Galley series sells a top of the line oven/stove with a model number that is the same except for the last letter depending on which retailer is selling it. This BB doesn't play the, "it's not the same" game! That policy is priceless in terms of customer service!
I previously thought BB was overpriced and under serviced. I was wrong. There are experts on the floor trained by manufacturers of specific products from apple to lg. I sometimes come in having researched a specific product to change my mind during the buying process because of interactions with associates. Yesterday, an associate who specializes in Samsung called over another specializing in LG. Both pushed me towards a Sony product after listening to my specific wants. Seriously!? Mind you, I was the typical annoying customer walking back and forth for over an hour having a, "great decision of 2019" moment! I wasnt rushed nor did I feel like I was burdening anyone. In the end, the second associate took the time to say bye before we left telling me I made a great choice while the first helped load my cart-o-stuff in my vehicle.
Lastly, let me tell you about how they stand behind what they sell. Obviously this is a within reason issue. I've had experiences where stuff went bad. Best Buy has made it right every time! Sometimes I purchase Geek Squad protection or Apple Care etc, but not always. I purchase new as well as open box items with confidence because Lupe and his team back the product period! Regardless of purchased warranty, they take care of the customer. Perhaps it's just a great deal on a replacement item at times....however BB has no obligation to incur a loss over manufacturers issues! Especially when you dont buy the protection product sold for this purpose! This is a priceless policy IMO and proof that they want my business now and well into the future!
I could say more positive things, but this review is already ridiculously long. Bottom line, buy here. I've turned several people on to BB because of the management and sales team at this location. Ive even gotten someone back to BB who had previously written them...
Read moreI would like to provide feedback about the WORST customer service I have ever received from the Chesterfield, Michigan store. Giving a one star rating is too generous! I called the store to determine if I purchased a new I-pad, if they could transfer the information over my old device. The person said no problem and so we went to make the purchase. The I-pad we wanted was not in stock and as a result, it was ordered to be shipped to the house. The OtterBox defender case we wanted was not in stock so we ordered that from another retailer. The sales guy informed us that when we receive the new I-pad in the mail that we can come into the store and they can transfer this over in less than 10 minutes. We asked for a black I-pad and upon arriving home and receiving the email confirmation, I learned the sale guy had ordered the grey model. Today, I went the Chesterfield Best Buy and was pointed in the direction of Customer Service/Geek Squad. I was greeted by a person that could not have been any less interested in working on a Saturday morning. She asked if I had an appointment. I explained that we were not told about the appointment and that we were told by our sales guy just to come in. She stated we would need a Geek Squad appointment which would not be available until 7 p.m. She was so uninterested in anything I had to say. She said she would request a Manager since she felt there was nobody in the store that could help me. I was then greeted by the arrogant male manager. He told me to do a data transfer, I would need a Geek Squad appointment and that I could not wait for the transfer to take place. That I would drop off the two devices and I would get a call in 2-3 days letting me know it was ready for pick up. TWO TO THREE DAYS FOR A DATA TRANSFER!!!!!!! After a previous bad experience with Geek Squad, I did not want to drop off the $700 I-pad that I had yet to even turn on. I would not trust the Geek Squad with a snickers bar. And the fact that they take 2-3 days to do a 10 minute data transfer proves how incompetent the team is. It is interesting that in the past when buying cell phones at Best Buy, they could do the data transfer right there. I am shocked that two people in the store previously told me a data transfer would be no problem, yet now I am told it is only done by appointment. The Manager explained that only Geek Squad could do the data transfer and that I would again need an appointment. At this point, I was so disgusted with the whole experience, I vowed never to shop there again. He smiled and said that...
Read morePurchased $1,500.00 worth of 4K Monitors 34 Inch Wide Screens. Did so right before store closed. Needed to make sure that I could have the monitors work no matter what. Best Buy sales associates told me to buy extra cables to ensure that if some didn't work to use the others i.e. Display Cables, HDMI cables and HDMI to DVI adapters. Got back to the office and hooked up monitors. I own 2 businesses and run servers for several others along with fathering 2 daughters, my point is that I am SUPER BUSY right now with the season ending. Wanted to install a new car stereo $1,300.00 Pioneer 8400. Scheduled the install with Best Buy. Went to drop off car and return the cables. In the store I approached the Customer Service Desk and explained the situation. They told me that I may not have my money because of the 15 day return policy. It was only 16 days. I would only be eligible for store credit. This infuriated me because I spent $2,900.00 in a 2 week time period! Now I may not have my $130.00. Its not even the money its poor business. After being disrespected in the store and using a few choice words of my own I walked outside and cancelled the radio install. Not only did you lose a customer that spends typically $20,000.00 annually in your store, you lost $2,500.00 instantly to Car Tunes in Roseville. You are the next Sears, Kmart, and every other large brick and mortar store that has failed and I'll tell you why. If I order something from Amazon or they sell me something that doesn't work they say "Mr Lewis sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you, I have taken the liberty of sending you the correct parts, please keep the old ones and by the way I over nighted them to you." Best Buy insulted me, made me feel unimportant and insignificant. NEVER AGAIN.
Don't bother contacting me cause I tried to contact a store manager for over a week! Seems Mike and Jose only work 1 day a week, and Bill the floor supervisor thinks he owns the store for his words were "...there is no one above me to...
