Geek Squad — Local services in Chesterfield

My actual rating would be zero stars if it were possible. Took over two months for them to get in an Apple phone screen. Once they received the part I made an appointment THROUGH GEEK SQUAD. Once I show up for the appointment (which is 30 minutes from my house), they tell me that they do not service Apple products after 2:30 pm. I asked why they’d let me make that appointment in the first place, and the answer was just an apathetic “I don’t know, corporate doesn’t listen to us.”

Furthermore, since it took two months for the screen to arrive, they said my service order “cancelled itself,” so they had to refund my card, and create a new service order. Thank god I had my receipt saved because they couldn’t find a record of my transaction! It took me over an hour to get this sorted out, all without even getting the repair started.

I’m truly baffled that this is a national corporation because it seems like it’s held together with bubblegum and duct tape. I feel really uncomfortable with this situation, and it feels like someone was trying to scam me because I really can’t imagine that this is how any company of this size operates. Avoid this headache...

THEY MADE A FOOL OUT OF ME. STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS. My samsung S8 screen got cracked so I contacted samsung care to check my options. They informed me yo take my phone to your nearest samsung authorized centre and it will cost between $180 -$190. So I called geeksquad in Best Buy THF blvd and the guy on the phone told me that it will cost 249 plus taxes so I told him that samsung rep gave me a quote of $180 so he said no sir thats for S8's flat screen and for curved it will be $249. At that time I was under the impression that s8 has two screen types so I said ok since i hv no other choice i m fine with repair cost. So i took it their and got it fixed for $273. Later in the evening when one of my frnd told me that there is no flat screen version of S8 then i realised that i got DUPED. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THESE WHITE COLLARED THIEVES AND TRY TO FIND BETTER...

True Story: I bought a high end laptop via Amazon. Used it for 1 whole day. Moved my crypto wallet & coins to it. Overnight, it did a software update and crashed. Couldn’t return the laptop because I had my coins there and had forgotten to backup my private keys.

Brought it to Geek Squad. Nick from Chesterfield Geek Squad was able to recover my wallet data and move it into a USB safely. It was such a relief. I had come to terms that I may not get the private keys but I did get all of it - thanks to Nick. Excellent Service! The membership is worth in gold. Thank you BB & Geek Squad & Nick ( I owe him if my coins become worth millions one day )

Returning my Amazon laptop and buying one...
