Five Below — Local services in Chicago

A popular shopping location in Chicago's Loop neighborhood, products tend to sell out here regularly. That aside, as five below goes, this one is my favorite. The staff are very knowledgeable of their frequently changing stock. They are very helpful and make ya feel welcome.

My latest shopping experience was an online order for in-store pickup. For some reason my order didn't show up on my account nor did I get the email confirmations that usually happen. I called the store and the lady that answered the phone was very kind and was able to find my order was ready very quickly.

When I arrived for pick up, my order was terrified quickly. I didn't check it then, but proceeded to look about the store. The item I was looking for was sold out, but I also realized my order was missing an item.

I returned to customer service near the entrance and a team member there personally escorted me to the missing item and made sure my order was whole, and he made conversation like I was shopping with a friend vs a random store employee, which was definitely a pleasant experience.

Do be patient during busy check out times. The line can get long. It's all self-checkout, as it is with every five below I have ever visited. But being in downtown Chicago, this is the nature of the beast. Tuesday nights are pretty chill though. But Saturday any time is usually slammed,...

This NEW Five Below location on State Street downtown Chicago is a God send! It's about time convenient! You no longer have to travel to a side out of the way strip mall or far away location to enjoy shopping for "goodies" at Five Below. This new location has two levels , is clean and well stocked. The lower level generally houses Beach, lawn and "Chicago" tshirts, chips and candy while the upper level displays the really good stuff- housewares, Tech items, cosmetics, full line of trendy tshirts which manage to stay organized through the hugh traffic. This level also has all your creative needs: sketching, drawing, coloring, reading, children's toys , stuffed animals, pet toys, candles, pillows, etc. Each and EVERYTIME I visit, the staff is always available to assist if needed , polite and welcoming. This kind of retail hospitality is VITAL, NEEDED AND VERY MUCH APPRECIATED! If you didn't know about this Five Below Downtown Chicago location - now you do! There is another new location in the South Loop as well. It is next to the Nordstrom ' Rack, Burlington Coat Factory just slightly north of Roosevelt & Canal. Way to go Five Below 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾! They have a second floor, the store looked like no one cares, I could hardly find anything, they hardly had any stock and I'm simply comparing them to the neighbor 5 Belows's, I must say I was expecting more, heads up they ask for your receipt at the door, which is five steps from the cashier, the cashier says nothing about keeping your receipt out for a security guard, in those five steps you've shoved that receipt deep in a bag or purse because you're ready to get the hell out of there only to have to spend an extra 5-6 minutes looking for a reciept you just shoved in the bottom of a pocket you can't remember, while looking for my reciept I heard dry greeting to in coming customers, they didn't greet me when I came in, if they had I would've known what I was in for, again people I'm only comparing this location to neighbor locations, this location I affirmatively and double down on my decision not to recommend this 5 Below location, I gave two stars because of the location and the app doesn't allow half stars, half...
