The day before yesterday we went to this shop, we would like to buy Tshirt. During payment I was asked to fill the email adress, I asked, if it´s necesarry, I am not fan of email marketing spam. And we did´t want any special offer for registration. The staff told me, that it is necesarry for purchase. It had been 3 days ago and since that time I got 6 marketing emails from JD… Just because purchasing one Tshirt without any special offer. Despite this situation, second day we returned, because we planned to purchase sneakers. I asked staff for bringing two pairs of shoes. The guy brought us bad sizes (one too small, one too big) but he didn’t help us with bringing the correct ones and told us that these sizes are out of stock despite I can see the same size and type in the shop. We started to search another trainers in needed size. When my boyfriend try two of them (nobody from the staff took care about us), one employee came and started to explaining us that we couldn’t try any exhibited shoes. Than we pleased him for two shoetype in one size. We were waiting 15 minutes. Nothing happened. I asked him once again. He forgot for our request. We waited for nothing. Than I told him that we need 8 in men shoes, 10 in women’s size. He sent us 10 in men shoes. So we ordered the right size. We were waiting again 15 minutes. Nothing happened. I asked very friendly lady from the staff, so she ordered the shoes once again. Boyfriend tried them and the size was perfect. The staff told me, that I should go to the cashier, the shoes will be there. I went there to pay and the cashier told me the price - it was doubled than was written on the shoes in the rack. They gave us bad type to try (looked very similar). Very friendly lady from the staff tried to help me and she ordered the type that we had chosen. Boyfriend tried them, and we decided to buy them. I went to cashier but the lady from the staff told me that they couldn’t find left shoe from this pair. She could help me just define which types are on stock in our size. The result was that we could purchase only shoes that had totally another type and colors and were twice more expensive that the type we had chosen for first. We spent there 75 minutes for nothing. Sorry, I couldnt recommend this shop. And I hope, that they will stop sending me any marketing offers.

I received a gift from my girlfriend for my birthday — a bag from JD Sports. The week after my birthday, I went to exchange it using the gift receipt. The item was completely unused, but I was told I couldn’t exchange it. When I asked to speak with the manager, the way they spoke to me was extremely disrespectful. I asked for their name, and they outright refused to tell me. Can you believe that? A store manager who refuses to give their name simply because they know they’re treating you poorly — and they know no one will hold them accountable. The manager was wearing a name tag, but positioned it backwards so it wouldn’t be visible. When asked directly, they still refused to provide their name. If you shop at JD Sports and encounter an issue, just know this: the manager will not help you, will treat you however they want, and won’t even identify themselves. This incident occurred on May 23, 2025, at 4:01 PM. I sincerely hope someone at JD finally addresses this type of behavior and ensures that customers are treated with the basic respect they deserve.

**2nd time this location DELETED my review** This young lady is EXTREMELY RUDE and needs to attend another round or two of training. There was ABSOLUTELY NO REASON to be so truculent when ringing out with me. Constantly Texting and not paying attention as if I'm bothering her. I'm puzzled. What are customers doing BESIDES being there to purchase merchandise??? They do not like helping customers with questions, sizing or even availability. It's TRULY sad because all you see on state street is "for rent" signs and I can definitely contribute to this location being apart of that bunch. The energy here is UTTERLY DISGUSTING!!! They watch you from a distance as if you are a theif. The young man that works here with the locs had an iPad in his hand and when asked about a particular shoe, he said let me check and never returned. I was waiting for 10 minutes. If you want to COMFORTABLY and SIMPLY buy a pair of shoes or clothing DO NOT COME HERE!!!!

Please don’t waste your time going into the store and shopping. Their employees are disrespectful and have no consideration for the handicap or disabled so yesterday I was walking past the store trying to find a restroom to use because I was new to Chicago and I have a prosthetic leg and so my prosthetic leg was sliding off and so when I walked past their store, I saw that they had clothes, so I thought maybe they might have a feeling wrong when me and my sister went into the store to ask and see if if they had a feeding room or restroom that I can use so I can put my prosthetic leg on, the employees was like well no you can’t. I was like you guys have anywhere in the back room but I can go. I don’t wanna pull my pants down in public just to fix my prosthetic leg because I don’t want people to think that I’m some kind of perv or freak or anything like that the guy is like no we don’t have one. There’s nothing we can do about it, so Sister asked to speak to the supervisor I supervised kept telling her that you know I can sit on the floor and fix my pants and she was like why would he pull his pants down and public they basically laugh made fun of the fact that I had a prosthetic leg and that I was disabled. I basically just stood there and did nothing and literally I had to try to get out of the store without my leg coming off and without me falling just to find a bathroom to use I have never shopped at JD sports but after this incident I never will and I will be contacting the ADA the Better Business Bureau...

Do not trust what associates tell you over the phone. Ask for a manager. I’ve been trying to do some research for on cloud shoes and another store recommended I check out Jd sports. Of course I want to call ahead instead of trying to travel all the way downtown through traffic to see if they have the shoes. I called ahead two days ago, spoke to an associate who looked up four different styles or shoes that I was looking for and if they have it in size 9.5 and 10. After a Good amount of time she came back to the phone and told me yes she has every single style that I wanted as well as those sizes. I thought great 👍 I will travel into the city and be able to try on the shoes and pick them up that day. The next day I was out towards the suburbs and realized there was Jd sports closer to me so I called the Schaumburg location. They said they did not have any of those shoes and same with the Norridge location. That made me think I better double check this downtown location to make sure. Sure enough I call again. Spoke to a manager this time and he told me no they didn’t have a single one of the shoes I was looking for. This other store associate lady would’ve had me waste half my day trying to get downtown only to find that she had lied and had not done her job. This location needs to review their employees and make sure they are competent at their work and not lying to customers....
