IT'SUGAR Michigan Avenue — Local services in Chicago

I stopped by this store yesterday hoping to buy some candy for my kid. While I was in the store I was looking around for a trash can, after a few minutes of not seeing one or anyone I left the cup on the register counter since I did not wanted to overstep going into the back of the register since there are usually trash cans in this area, while I recognize I was at fault for leaving the cup there I did try to find a trash can in the store to which there were none. After a few minutes this girl comes with a very snarky attitude and gives me my cup back and tells me that there is a trash can at the front of the store to the left, again I am very aware that this is my cup so I reply: ''Of course, I'm sorry, I was trying to find a trash can, but I couldn't find one'' and I immediately proceed to go to the front to find such trash can. When I get to the front of the store I ask another employee where the trash can was because I can't find it to which she replies that the trash can is outside the store, mind you it was cold and raining. I just find it unbelievable that there is not a single trash can in the whole store and this is just PETTY and very POOR customer service! I would have literally tossed it for the client and just be nice, while I understand that I am responsible for my cup, the fact that I was told to step out of the store with this weather to toss my cup to find out that there was NO TRASH CAN on the whole block its ridiculous. After this I decided to leave the store and not come back, however unfortunately my fiancé was not aware of what happened and still purchased products for our kid, but I must say it will for sure be the...

Overpriced stale pick n mix…. Very disappointed - we NEVER do this kind of thing! Decided to treat ourselves to some candy and go back to our hotel and watch a movie….most of the candy was stale - I guess it makes sense, as who knows when each tub was last replenished and how long they sit there for - is there any quality control that determines how long candy is deemed fresh? Should’ve just bought a sealed box…turnover is likely slow and sluggish….we NEVER normally have any leftovers!!! but this is what we can’t even be bothered to finish…. Update….felt even more depressed about the wasted money the following day when I happened upon Ghirardelli’s chocolate shop where you can get 1/2 lb of their wonderful (wrapped!) chocolate for $14.95!!!! If only we’d known! The grim reality is that we are all complaining about the rising price of steak and yet when you think about it candy is twice the price...

It'Sugar is a candy lovers dream come true. This is a franchise retail with multiple locations. This location on Michigan avenue is a big store front with so many candy choices. It's such a colorful , bright, and welcoming place. They have something in there for everyone and for all ages. I like that you can mix n match candies and choose what you want. I enjoyed walking around and picking out the different candies.

They have a great selection of candies and also have international flavors of many candies. They have accessories to purchase as well. I felt like a kid in there and was so excited to see so many unique candy options under one roof.
