Honestly, the main reason I reached out to them went smoothly. Unfortunately that lawyer left the firm, and we never received the paperwork I was supposed too. I have reached out to them requesting to speak with one of the managing attorneys, but no one has called me back. All I'm requesting is MY paperwork but they continue to just give me the run around. Pretty sad for a "reputable firm"

Update: A managing partner finally calls me back after I requested 3 time for a call all week. States that we wouldn't get official document, but the email from their lawyer states they would receive it. Furthermore, he wants to defend their communication, and put the blame on the attorney even though it's the firm that I hired.

I felt completely taken advantage of. Even though this lawyer didn’t have any experience in the field of law I needed and instead of advising me to seek someone who had experience in the matter they decided to wing it and charge me exorbitant rates. I was charged thousands of dollars for research. If the lawyer knew what they were doing then maybe it wouldn’t have required so many hours of research. I was charge 3k for one piece of paper that was an agreement between two parties. When I spoke with another lawyer who was well versed they said that piece of paper wasn’t worth anything. I called the lawyer to ask a few basic questions and towards the end of the call thy stated that they charged me for every single time I called. What type of a business is that. My husband and I used Lavelle services for our recent condo purchase. We worked with Chance Badertscher specifically. It was our first home purchase and going through the many steps up to closing (and including closing) can be very daunting and intimidating for a first-time home buyer, but the process was made very easy and understandable by Chance. On of the most stressful parts of the whole process is the many people that are involved, but Chance was able to help get everyone on the same page and was a great advocate for us, pushing back when necessary to the seller's representation.
