Starting in 2024 I changed insurances and now I can come back to see specialists in Northwestern. One major change I made was changing primary care doctors, I wanted a doctor at NW. I was in disbelief to find out how hard it was to get an appt with an Internal medicine doctor, with some, appts were 9 months to a year out. I was working with the customer call center on trying to find a doctor. There was nothing, then all of a sudden, she found me an appt with an Internist for Jan 15. These Internists work with the doctors and at the end of the appt the doctor will come in. I thought eventually I would get to transfer to that doctor permanently. My Internist is Dr. Tejasvi Peesay and the doctor is Dr. Jordana Friedman. Today I found out that’s not the case that I can make that change. Yesterday I get a message on Mychart from someone named “Tomorrow”. I had left a message asking for a Physical appt with Dr. Friedman. I was told I have to stay with Dr. Peesay. I had bloodwork taken and to this day Dr. Peesay has not called me about my results which I did see in Mychart. In my appt she said she would be calling me. Additionally, why these doctors are not in Mychart is ridiculous. I was told I have to call and leave a message with customer service if I want to contact the doctor. I am in disbelief and so disappointed about this whole experience, especially because it’s...
Read moreI will NEVER go their emergency room for any medical services. I recently went to their emergency room for what later was discovered to be a fractured thumb. After sitting there for over 4 hours and receiving absolutely no service minus an X-ray and a splint that was handed to be without instructions on how to use it this Hospital charged over $3,000 of which I paid $488 after the insurance covered the other remaining portion of bill. I even called the hospital several times after "So-called" service to dispute charges at which time no one ever returned my call or attempted to reach out to me. I'm leaving this negative review to prevent anyone else from being re-victimized after suffering an injury. I always was told this was the hospital to go to for emergencies-NOT TRUE!!!! In fact while I was there I felt that I was at the Cook County Hospital. I should have went there because I feel that I would have gotten a better treatment. In fact it will be my mission to put out on social media and any other outlet to inform citizens of how this hospital is robbing people of BOTH medical and financial services. I felt like doing a police report after I left here for "Robbery"-"Theft of Services" Please if you can help it DO NOT go to this emergency room if you...
Read moreI have been at NW for app 10 years. I don't know why I have stayed this long. The problem ? They are too big and full of themselves. I have a doctors visit this week. If nothing changes. I'm done and they will not care. They have so many waiting to get in. I have had several surgeries there and all have been failures. The nursing staff are from American horror. My surgeon had me on a liquid diet. I called and called for a nurse to help me to the washroom. No one ever answered. I had an accident and they told me I would need to clean it up.
Doctors do not have the time to give any kind of service. They are overloaded. I have so many stories but I will need them until I can get set up with another hospital and doctor. After moving I will come back and post...
