Oliver Peoples — Local services in Chicago

When you go to such expensive place to buy glasses (which you can find cheaper online) you expect no less than 5 star customer service. I was generally unsatisfied with my shopping experience that cost me more than $750. I asked for expedited delivery of my new frame as I got 2 frames stolen recently, and instead of accommodating my request they actually delayed my order. Twice. I had to wait the full 10 business days they said they will try to reduce, and still they told me I had to wait another day. That was last Thursday. Then I called on Friday and the frame was still not there so I had to wait now until Monday (today). I still did not get my glasses, and I will call them this afternoon. If they’re not there I will update this review. Their tone when I talk to them is very unapologetic despite being at fault. Bottom line is that they do sell great products with great designs that I absolutely love, but customer service is horrible. You’re better off buying their frames that you like online and purchasing your prescription...

A hogwarts experience!

Me and my girlfriend were trying on glasses for me. Patrick, an OP rep, asked if we needed help, he would be in the corner available to us. A very comfortable approach and not overbearing.

After a couple failed attempts of trying on glasses, we found one that we thought was pretty good. We then went and asked Patrick for his opinion. He said they were nice which was just what my girlfriend had said. I thought that was a nice touch as you never want to condescend a girlfriend’s opinion. Very classy.

He then asked what I was going for and I gave him very little to work with. I was just looking for a good pair that made me look good.

He took a good look at the current pair I had on and then went to the back. He came out with the perfect pair on his first try. It was the pair we needed buying.

Reminded us of hogwarts wand ceremony.

My husband and I were in the city visiting family and I decided to check out the Oliver Peoples store. Picking out new glasses has always stressed me out. I have always heard good things about Oliver Peoples' glasses. I was a little uneasy because of some of the reviews I had read about customer service at this location. That must have been in the past - because my experience was excellent. Patrick and Alex were wonderful to work with. They were so patient and had a great eye for glasses that would work best for me and my face. It was such a good experience that I convinced my husband to go in and he got new glasses as well.
