Stop & Shop — Local services in Chicopee

This is going to be 2nd review of this store. 1st one wasn’t good and this one isn’t either. Went to your store ONLY cause I was in neighborhood. Wish I didn’t! Your store is never fully supplied especially when it should be. Went to bakery around 7-30am. Went for bagels. Everything was empty! So I’m looking around store to see where the baker was at.. she was over by the registers on OTHER SIDE of store. They point her out to me. She’s standing in front with another lady just having personal conversation. So I wait there to conversate with your baker. Finally she acknowledges me and I ask her when are the bagels coming out and she says I got a few things to do and then I’m going to put them out. She didn’t try to go grab me anything she didn’t try to offer me to grab what I needed. Nothing. She just looked at me like I was stupid. She is lucky that I have turned over a new leaf and I didn’t rip her a new hole because that was rude for one and for two she didn’t have to look at me like I was bothering her when she should be working, so I left your store went to the Holyoke store which I should’ve did in the first place on Lincoln Street and they had everything out bread bagels, fresh muffins everything at 7:45 in the morning what is wrong with your store Yasha close you are ridiculous. Your employees are absolute trash. What exactly did she have to do other than help me grab what I needed because the bagels were sitting on the metal trays just waiting to be put out they were just not out where they were supposed to be so everyone can grab them there was a man there, too looking for fresh bread, and he had to grab old bread because there was nothing there because your baker lady was converse in the front of the store instead of...

I will never in my life will shop at this stop & shop again! I had a client who is 95 years old who bought a piece of meat from their store and when we got it home realized it was open! So I attempted to return it and brought it to the service desk where I was treated terrible by carol the service desk attendant. I very nicely explained the situation to her showed her the hole and the discolored meat she then threw the piece of meat back on the counter and very rudely told me to “bring it back to her” (my 95 year old client who if she would of ate this meat could have gotten very ill) I walked out of the store because I was so appuled at the way I was treated and didn’t want to be disrespectful to an elderly woman. I then called the manger who basically told me I was a liar and that what I told her wasn’t the story that carol told her! Her name (the manager) was Ann Holis and she was also very rude and not helpful at all! I am in disbelief in the way I was treated and will never bring my business here again! And I will be bringing this to the attention...

Stop & Shop I feel has way more variety than big white. Not only do they carry different items, but they carry larger sizes in some of the items which is much more convenient. The only thing I don’t like about this particular Stop & Shop is they don’t have a super bar or a prepared hot foods section which I don’t usually use, but that could be a down side for people. Other than that, the store is generally stocked up pretty good. I’m not crazy about their produce and I haven’t been in several years. Their food goes back really quick and sometimes you’ll see mold on the fruit in the Store. But when you bring it home and it molds a few days before the expiration date or even on the expiration date, it makes me mad. I end up throwing a lot of food away that way, but I think that’s just a common theme with a lot of stores nowadays. They do have a gas station at this Stop & Shop and if you do your shopping right, you can really rack up on the points and get up to $1.50 off every gallon of gas, which I do...
