Legend Hot Chicken Restaurant — Restaurant in Chino Hills

We have been coming here for a while because the kids like it. I don’t usually post bad reviews, but I had to because this is the second time it’s happened exactly like this:

Just ordered a 20 piece wings, half lemon pepper/half original for family dinner. Got an email confirming that my order was received. I get there about 30 minutes later and the girl says there’s no order under my name She starts scrolling and says “ohhhhh”. I’m about to cancel it because I didn’t wanna wait another 30 minutes for food but she says they’ll get it ready in 15 minutes, so I wait in my car. Walk in 20 minutes later and, of course, it’s not ready. Wait another five minutes and she brings my order to me and I head home.

Get home and one bite of the lemon pepper wings taste WAY over seasoned that it’s inedible. So we all start eating the original and wings. Take a bite of those and three out of the four that we tried were UNDERCOOKED. We were over it at this point and hardly ate anything. Guess we’ll stick those in the air fryer tomorrow but the lemon pepper ones went straight to the trash. One time, I get it. But twice?!?!? Usually decent, but we’re done...

Found this place about 2 months ago, and I’ve been a recurring customer since. I am amazed at the attention to detail Legends Hot Chicken pays to their food experience: The trays have vents on the the lids so my food doesn’t get soggy. Honey bottles are at the ready (everyone knows a good hot chicken has to go with honey.) Fries are crisp and well seasoned. And the tenders are huge!

Special shoutout to BRENDAN, who’s service was exceptional. I don’t think I’ve ever received a better customer service experience. He answered all of our questions and made great suggestions. After receiving my food he made sure I had sauces, spice level was alright, and everything was to our desired taste. Although he was the only person on the floor, in between orders he would wipe tables, greet customers, and followed up with us. All while maintaining a positive attitude.

The chicken that it’s known for is really good. But 20 dollars for microwave ramen and a water cup is insane. Like this is actually a 1 dollar pack of noodles that I can make at my own house with an egg in it. They didn’t do anything special to it. It’s the normal packet seasoning that they put in it. It’s actually crazy. This is an actual scam. Don’t get anything other than the chicken from this place. Absolute garbage. Edit: I asked for a refund after one bite of the ramen. After I asked for a refund, which they refused, I ate my food because I spend 20 dollars on it. If you believe that your ramen is fairly priced then please show me the the way you prepare it, which I already know it’s 1 dollar pack of ramen that you put in egg in.
