We came to Holy Cow for the first time, excited to try their $59 all-you-can-eat menu. Let me start by saying — this is not a complaint about the food, which was decent. The real issue was the terrible service we received.
There are some items on the $59 menu marked Limit 1/person, but it wasn’t clear whether it meant only one total or one of each. We politely asked our server for clarification, but instead of helping us, he responded impatiently, rushed us to order, and had a very dismissive attitude.
After placing our initial order, the server never came back to check on us, refill water, or ask if we wanted to order more. We had to wave someone down each time. Meanwhile, he was noticeably more attentive and friendly to English-speaking customers at nearby tables. The contrast was obvious.
At one point, our grill was completely black, so I asked our server Nick (the same one who served us the whole time) to change it. He turned around and walked off mid-conversation. I told him I wasn’t finished talking, and he replied, “Didn’t you ask to change the grill?” — but that’s not the point. You don’t just turn your back and leave while someone is speaking. After that, his attitude got even worse. At the end of the meal, he didn’t even ask if we wanted ice cream, which is part of the menu.
Overall, it was a very unpleasant experience, and it’s clear the way we were treated was different from the English-speaking tables. We felt rushed, ignored, and unwelcome. We will not be returning.
I did speak with the manager, Ken, who was kind and understanding, but unfortunately, that doesn’t change our experience. If this restaurant only wants to serve English-speaking guests with good service, then so be it — they can focus on that group. We’ll take our...
Read moreFood is amazing, our first time here service was amazing 😍, our server was great. It is a lot more than Korean bbq, but I love that there is some seafood options and it is delicious. I do wish they had more drink options, they literally only have coke, sprite and fanta and it's in a can and you have to ask for ice or else you'll just get a cup and a can.
This last time it was kind of different than our first experience. We didn't feel we had a server, we had different people coming up to us, which was not a big deal. The issue was we weren't getting the food we ordered and someone would check up on us and we would say oh we never received this or that and then they would say oh okay let me check on it and then we will never see them again and then the next person will come check on us and it was like we were repeating ourselves and no one was doing anything about it so they would just have to place a whole new order for us for those items. And when it's all you can eat it's kind of nerve-wracking because you don't want to get double the order and then be wasteful or have to stuff yourself. This last time it felt like the ordering system was not working for them. But good was so...
Read moreI was just denied service and kicked out of Holy Cow simply because I was dining alone. The staff told me, “We don’t serve parties of fewer than two.” This happened at 13:10 on February 2, 2025, despite the restaurant having at least four empty tables at the time.
This is absolutely unacceptable. I have never been refused service just for dining alone. There was no argument or conflict with the staff—I was simply turned away for being a solo customer. This discriminatory policy makes no sense. A single diner can spend just as much as, if not more than, a group. Whether it’s cost, table turnover, or attracting new customers, there is no valid reason to deny service based on party size alone.
I will make sure to leave reviews wherever possible to warn others about this unfair practice. No business should be allowed to discriminate against...
