Formerly known as Dillon's the atmosphere was very friendly. We were seated quickly and our server was with us within moments. He took our drink order and was back with them within minutes. He was helpful in helping us understand the new menu and willing to answer any questions we may have had. The one thing that was sad was that they didn't have on the menu was avocado fries which Dillon's made to perfection but the server was interested in them as we described them that he thought it should be brought up as something that sounds like a great item to add to the menu. On to the menu the beer and wine list was a interesting concept a good number of beers as well as some draft and bottled versions. The mixed drinks were limited but the ones they did have looked interesting. As for the food menu they do have a small list but there is no limit to flavor. I had the pretzel with beer cheese and mustard this pretzel was soft and flavorful and both the cheese and mustard worked well with it. Also ordered was the Irish nachos and they didn't disappoint. They were a large order fill with sliced potato chips which were crispy and was loaded with corned beef, pastrami, bacon bits, cheese and a drizzle of sour cream and scallions. Every bite was loaded and was well worth the price. Then we ordered from the main dishes, the first was the Limericks burger, a half pound Angus beef patty with Apple wood smoked bacon, the beer cheese a Jameson glaze, blue cheese and topped with crispy onion strings on a brioche bun. A lot going on with this burger but all the flavors work together. We also got the Cubano Sandwich, just what you would heron this sandwich pulled pork , black forest ham, Swiss, pickles and mustard on a pressed French roll. The sandwich itself doesn't look impressive but with the first bite that all changes, the flavors are wonderful the pork they use has a slight kick but makes all the difference and with the black forest ham used it gives it such a wonderful sandwich would definitely recommend it. Finally was the pesto chicken, a grilled chicken breast served with a pesto sauce and included mashed potatoes and locally farmed sauteed vegetables. I love the fact that they use local produce which were done wonderfully the chicken was moist and paired well with the pesto again a lot of food for what you are paying for. As we finished our meal our server suggested we try a ice cream they just started serving a a bourbon flavored ice cream. He brought our a large bowl of ice cream with three spoons to share the ice cream was very rich but the flavors were outstanding it is definitely worth having again and again. In general great atmosphere, wonderful food, and reasonable prices. And with a friendly staff serving you I have no doubt we will be back for another go around at this tavern don't miss out on this little stop in...
Read moreHorrible experience!! Poor manager apparently the waitress called herself one so yea! The place it was before starting going downhill and then this place opens up. Because of poor experience before new owner decided to give limericks a chance especially since it was grand opening. The story goes down after this! I get seated right away (should have sat at bar instead of table) our hostess said because of opening it was happy hour as an exception. Well great right?! WRONG! Josie the waitress takes order we specifically said happy hour and she said oh it's not and we say well the hostess said so and then she agreed and took order. Didn't think much as it's opening day probably some mistakes happen. She didn't bring any of our food only bus boys. So food was subpar bar food. Then we ask for check low and behold no happy hour pricing. Notified Josie of it and she claims no its not I already talked to hostess.... Umm but didn't bother to inform us? Like i said she just carried on, if she had said im sorry you were misinformed but it is regular pricing, well we wouldn't be here. Then fires back at my mother how prices can't change blah blah.... how she's a manager and first attempted to offer $5 gift card. We were not satisfied and still wanted to speak with someone then she offered $25 card. Didn't want to make a scene so it was settled on $25. She returns and it's just 5 of $5 off our next visit! Honestly I don't want to go back I'd rather just have the $25 back due to insubordinate waitress/manager and attitude! I wish I would have just gone to California pizza kitchen instead! This place won't survive if it continues with that much confusion. Please fix! Will be posting on yelp and...
Read moreStopped by for my first visit with my son, we visited midweek around noon or so. We indulged from the menu because it was early and empty. We were greeted by a friendly server, she was courteous, funny and really knew the menu well and made great suggestions, we had the chix-charrones as an appetizer (deep fried chicken skins, some even had little juicy pieces of meat still attached, with a tapatio lime aioli) we ate from the lunch menu, my son had the cubano, I had the steak sandwich with a tasty chimichurri sauce. The meal was fresh, hot and the garlic fries were beyond delicious! Crispy, garlicky with just a hint of parmesan. At the end of the meal our server suggested their fresh made peach cobbler, she forewarned us that it would take 20 minutes to cook, but well worth the wait....indeed! Warm peaches, not too sweet, light airy pastry dough on top, powdered sugar and ice cream, it was so good and homey. The actual space is large and has a great pub feel, they have two full sized bars and tons of seating. Will definitely be...
