3CAT Handcrafted Beverage — Restaurant in Chino Hills

I’ve ordered at a 3Cat location before in the City of Industry and this was my first time visiting this location. When my friend and I first walked in, we saw that there were self service kiosk to order drinks at. After looking through the menu a few times, my friend really wanted to order something hot and she decided on the lattes which we both assumed was hot until we noticed that only options were no ice, little ice, or regular ice. I suggested to my friend to order it with no ice and ask for it to be hot if possible in the special instructions. I, on the other hand, went with their mochi mango with less sugar.

While waiting for our drinks, I loved how there was a digital screen that showed how long it would take for our drinks to be ready. However, we were immediately notified by one of the staff that they couldn’t make my friend’s drink hot and that she would get refunded and needed to choose something new. So unfortunately my friend had to order a completely different drink. While we waited for everything to be made, I noticed how the tables were quite dirty, with specks of unknown substances stuck on top which was quite gross.

Overall thoughts: Mango mochi: Not too sweet which I loved, the mochi was nice and chewy and the fresh mango made the whole drink quite refreshing. 9/10 Roasted Oolong tea with cheese mousse: the cap is a great addition for sipping on the tea and mousse and the design on top is quite cute. The overall tea was not too sweet and also refreshing but my friend wished it could had been hot. 8/10 Ambiance: The whole place was overwhelming bright and while the mini cat collection is cute, I wasn’t a fan of how messy the seating area was. 6/10 Service: The staff didn’t really interact with us other than informing us that my friend had to change her drink. I was invited to this store saturday during its soft opening for the weekend (sat and sun) to try a tasting menu before it officially opens on March 23rd. The interior is so clean and aesthetically pleasing to the eyes. They have so many cute accents to nod to the stores name with many cute little cat figurines! The service is impeccable as despite it being a set tasting menu for that weekend during their soft opening, they still accommodated to my lent and made me a special drink without any dairy or animal products for me. It tasted so good that the authenticity and quality of the tea were so present on my taste buds that even without milk or cream, it was so delicious. In their rowland location, their mochi barely burst is the best tasting drink I have ever had and unlike anything I've ever had before so I definitely recommend it!
