Great experience shopping in the store but once the order was placed. We (my husband and I) have had nothing but problems. Had to wait a month to have bed delivered, which was fine as we were told it would take that long. But when the mattress arrived from the warehouse it was the incorrect size and another one has to be ordered which took another two weeks. Bed and frame were delivered but mattress protector was left on the van. Customer service has no idea when I could get another one and I had to call multiple times just to have the delivery truck circle back to my home so I wasn’t sleeping on an unprotected mattress. The bed frame that was ordered was not assembled properly and has been collapsing sporadically. We called months ago and have gotten no response. Spoke to customer service again today and they could not give an answer as to when we can expect a repair. Spent thousands on this bed and frame only to have our concerns ignored and every problem blamed on the warehouse.
Edited to add: We were contacted by VA Furniture Market after this was posted. They clarified the issue with the delay in parts, validated my concerns and the issue was fixed yesterday. Read moreYesterday I saw a Virginia Furniture Market ad on Facebook and after looking at photos on their page, my husband and I decided to make the drive to check it out. We are so glad we did! I knew, almost immediately, that we would be making a purchase here. Our sales lady, Melissa, greeted us at the door and was absolutely WONDERFUL from start to finish. It was the easiest and most enjoyable buying experience I’ve ever had. I had in my mind what I wanted and I didn’t want to settle. What I told Melissa was, “I like the comfort of that couch, the color of this other one, and the fabric on that couch over there. If I could just put them together I’d have what I’m looking for!” I didn’t think we could actually do that, but Melissa custom designed EXACTLY what I asked for and I didn’t have to settle! She then sifted through a ton of fabric swatches and very patiently helped me pick out what pillows I wanted for our couch! Not only that, I wanted a rocker recliner and she hopped online to find just what I needed. As for the store itself: top notch! A very large selection with styles to fit every taste. Clean environment. Every store associate was kind, courteous, and quick to say hello. True hospitality to say the least. Read moreWe visited Virginia Furniture Market after seeing their impressive selection of sectionals online. Since many of the sectionals online were listed as "not available in-store," we figured we'd head to the store to see what was available. We really wanted to see and feel the furniture before purchasing, and our logic was if some online listings weren't visible in-person, maybe there were sectionals at the store that weren't listed online.
Turns out that hunch was true. The sectional we ended up getting wasn't listed online, but it's perfect in every way. The customer service was great, too. We arrived on Thursday at 5:20 PM, knowing the store closed at 6:00 PM. Melissa Robertson introduced us to the layout of the store and explained how their pricing system worked. She then set us loose and circled back 30 minutes later, the perfect amount of time to take a deeper look at a few couches, double-checking measurements and warehouse stock. Unfortunately, we hit 6:00 PM before we could start the purchase process, but it actually worked out in the end. We returned the next morning and ended up seeing a sectional that previously went unnoticed. We ended up buying that piece, and the whole purchase process took less than 20 minutes.
