First time at the park this morning and there were quite a few people walking, using the trails, the dog park, and the playground area. Parking may be tight at the moment if there’s an event going on as there’s also a huge ball field at the top of the park. There’s several places to eat at picnic benches. Trees have been planted but still very young and don’t provide a lot of shade. I specifically went for the dog park. Thankfully it’s separated for small and large dogs. When I arrived there was one person with a large dog in the smaller area but he came out no m when I got there. I included several photos of the area. The grass is artificial turf, I’m curious to see if that accumulates odors over time especially in the heat with dogs urinating on it. The play areas are huge. The fencing is flush with the ground, I only saw one small hole under it. You can see in one photo how big the holes in the fencing is Doggie poop bags are provided as well as places to discard the waste. There’s a water fountain for the dogs as well. I like that there’s an area between the two enclosures. Also if you’ll notice in the photos the gates only open one way. There’s handicapped parking directly in front of the entrance. I drove around the park to see the other areas. Numerous people were talking about the splash pad. A photo is included. It looks to be a great place. Hopefully we won’t have any issues with vandalism.

This is a super nice new park great place to take your kids. If you are hot and want to get wet, you can cool off under the water at the splash pad. There is a playground with slides, swings, climbing bars, and lots of other fun activities to spend the day with your kids. One of the best parks in the area. Conveniently located passed the Roadhouse and the Holiday Inn just off Rt 114, turn onto Booker T. Washington at the red light.

Huckleberry Park is beautiful, and one lap around the football fields is just over half a mile. The scenery is stunning! I wouldn’t use the adult workout equipment because it’s right next to the children’s playground and completely out in the open—it really needs a more private location. It would also be great if the track connected to the Huckleberry Trail.

Awesome place for kids (and dogs as there’s a dog park but this doesn’t pertain to my family). A variety of equipment for kids of all ages. A basic play park that’s inclusive for those with disabilities, a ninja obstacle course, workout equipment, race pad, music pad, ball game pad, splash pad, a variety of swings, and a spinning feature. Some sort of “ride” on the smaller playground was damaged and out of order which was disappointing. I wish the walking paths were more interconnected. I wish there was more shade than just the pavilion (trees have been planted but are too immature to provide shade yet). I don’t anticipate seeing many birthday parties here due to lack of shelter areas. The fields across from the park feel sterile as not much is happening in this park as of yet. It’s a shame the town isn’t using this space for events as they continue to close downtown and do street events with no...

This park is wonderful. The best thing ever in a long time that's happened to christiansburg for the kids even adults. And of course can't forget your furry friends. Yes there's a dog park here. It's wonderful. And the view omg. It's beautiful at sunset time. We go here all the time. They stay open til 10. If you get hot there's water works they have plenty of areas to sit and relax. You got your fitness area your play area for the kiddos. There's like 4 football fields or so. There's restrooms. There's an awesome spot on top of this hill where you grill out listen to music there's restrooms up there as well perfect area for...
