Edit - If you do choose to move into these apartments, be aware that when you move out, they’ll send you your final move out cost (that’s due 14 days after your move out date) on the day that it’s due or it goes to collections. Then when they justify the delay in notification by saying “We do a pre-move out inspection to give you an idea of what the cost will be”. Absolutely abhorrent and asinine logic.
I waited until my final move out inspection to post my review - just in case.
Please note, I have no issue with people within the leasing office specifically. If you treat them with respect, they will treat you with respect. I’ve always had good experiences with them. The only people I’ve had issues with are the maintenance staff. Every time I filled out a request and requested a call prior to arrival, they would just show up unannounced. Or if I gave permission to enter, they wouldn’t go in. I filled out multiple requests to fix my second bathroom’s toilet and after the 4th one I just said forget it because they would say it was fixed when it wasn’t. I requested the light outside my door to be fixed, they didn’t fix it but they closed the ticket. So if you need anything done, just prepare for the headache to ensue.
However, I did live here for two years and that was mostly out of a lack of desire for wanting to move again. It started off great but after the changing of hands for property management - everything went south. Most importantly, the community got so incredibly dirty. The previous property management company always had the place power washed and cleaned the garbage areas. They just power washed for the first time in over 6 months the week before I moved, and it was so dirty from the months of collecting grime - it made no difference. The garbage areas are always full of furniture, trash on the ground, and shopping carts - which I know is at the hands of residents, but there is no effort to clean it or police those who do leave trash everywhere but the dumpster.
Millenia itself went from being a place where I felt perfectly comfortable walking around at any time of day, but over the last few months the area has become generally unsafe. The last time I went for a walk toward the back of Millenia, a man shouted obscenities to me because I wouldn’t pay attention to him. Peoples’ cars are constantly being hit/run or broken into. Teenagers are jumping adults, playing chicken with cars on their bikes, and stealing peoples’ packages.
Just exercise extreme caution if you’re considering moving here. It’s the cheapest priced “luxury” apartments...
Read moreWe stayed here for two years. Extremely convenient, but that convenience comes at a price, which for me was peace of mind. Before considering this complex, be warned that the street noise from the Birch intersection is extremely loud. I had nights where car bass would shake my apartment to the point where it felt like an earthquake, and that was three stories up. I asked CVPD if they could uphold local noise ordinances multiple times, but they did nothing about it. I get they are stretched, but a simple presence would deter a lot of the issues. Also had many times where motorcycles would sit there and rev their engines for no reason other than to be an annoyance to the community. This is not a complete knock on the complex, although I would recommend that if they could remodel, to include noise reduction in the apartments being that close to a major intersection. Street noise might be a minor detail to some, but after months of sleepless nights it started to affect my mental and physical health.
As others have said, I to am having issues with move out cost. I don't understand the point of paying pet rent when they are going to charge you for damage regardless when you move out.
I will say the maintenance team after the management change was impressive. Had zero issues with them. Water shutoffs were an issue, I know it is a city issue, but it started to become inconvenient. There were times we did not have water for 2 to 3 days. Also, for some reason recently, they keep wanting to paint the buildings different colors as if they cannot make up their minds on what it should be. Again, not a total inconvenience, but...
Read moreI had a scheduled tour for 1:30 p.m. Upon my arrival the blinds were drawn and I sign was posted that they were gone for lunch. I saw that the Assistant Manager was in the building so I knocked on the door since I had a confirmed appointment. He remained in the building despite knowing there were appointments scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Upon the leasing agents arrival at 2:00 p.m. She acknowledged that the Assistant Manager was indeed in the building. This is the first impression I received of Pulse Millenia. There was no apology issued by management nor acknowledgement from him that he had made a mistake. I was extremely disappointed in the customer service that was provided. If this is how a potential renter is treated I can only imagine how current tenants are treated.
Edit: Since the owner edited their response and removing the initial post, I wanted to add to my initial submission above. Yes, they called and expressed some remorse but the initial contact was one of deflection. To add additional context, I did not request the tour the day of but in advance. I additionally contacted the call center and they also indicated the information was sent over in advance prior to the start of the business day and it should have been received. I was also not the only person waiting outside as there was another gentleman that also had a scheduled appointment and was waiting outside with me. Thank you for the response and I hope that adjustments are made to ensure these issues do not occur to a...
