Was humiliated by staff, including manager. Tonight my nephew asked me for a Rubix cube. We went to Walgrees at Austin and Cermak. While there I picked up some cereal and snacks.
My nephew found his Rubix Cube. The line was extremely long, but I noticed only one customer at the photo section. I got in line behind her.
The single transaction ahead of me took a bit of time. As the cashier, a young man by the name of Brian, was finishing up he asked me if I had any photos to pick up. I said I did not. With haste, senseless carelessness and in my opinion, an obtuse attitude, he demanded that I go to the standard line.
My first thought was "This young man doesn't want to cash me out because he wants a break. Maybe if I'm kind to him he'll take me." I asked him, 'Do you not want to cash me out at all, or do you only cash out photo customers?"
He proceeded to tell me that he would not take me next under any condition. Now, it's important to point out a few experiences at this point. I have been, as many of you, a life long Walgreen's customer. I have, scores of times, used the photo section to check out. I have never once, not once been denied service.
Nextly, I did not inconvenience any other customer. I found my spot, 2nd in line while all other customers choose to stand in the long line.
Brian, the cashier, in my opinion had a very poor attitude. His demeanor and presentation was poor, unkept and very much a negative experience.
I, for one, do not believe that the customer is always right. Having worked in the field, I know there are customers that are beyond rude, mean and our right wrong. Because of this, I was quick to decide to leave. If Brian, on behalf of Walgreens, saw it fit to treat me like (what in my experience is) a thief, a dishonest charlatan, a scammer, simply because I attempted to be checked out by the photo cashier, I would not demand he serve me.
I asked for his manager. He pointed to another cashier with the name tag of "Eddy". I told Eddy my experience and he was VERY quick to take a contradictory stance. He told me that I needed to 'get behind the line.'
I mentioned to Eddy that after the rude and negative treatment, I was only informing him of my decision to leave. To my utter shock, he said, "good".
Now, I have been a customer of many places for a very long time. I have stood in line and I have been impatient and I have left. Never have I been treated with such disdain and contempt. In my experience tonight, both Walgreens staff were heartless, unprofessional and very quick to be unwelcoming.
I made 2 decisions after this experience. first, I will never again go to this Walgreens so long as I live. Yes, dramatic, but I am also very upset. The level of my transgression of not taking the long line does not warrant such treatment. I did not yell at them, cuss at them, I was not rude or demanding. I was visibly upset, but I chose to walk away.
Secondly, I will seriously consider taking my business, and that of my family's to CVS. As I took the half mile trip there I started to wonder if Walgreens has given over to such staff and if would be the same in the rest of the neighborhood stores.
CVS did not have the rubix cube, but they reminded me that Walmart will have better choices, cheaper.
I also found the cereal at a cheaper price!
I highly suggest that corporate send out a 'secret shopper' and show a modicum of impatience to Brian and Eddy. Don't take my word for it, experience for yourself, how it is that YOUR ambassadors, YOUR representatives are treating people.
I deal with impatient customers ALL OF THE TIME. It is an art, a science and a kindness to them to treat them with care.
In my experience and in my opinion, this Walgreens is in...
Read moreSo, here's the story. I ordered some Pokemon cards for a friend from Walmart, they shipped via Fedex. My friend has packages stolen all the time so they requested the package to be held a facility which is a Walgreens and you can just go pick up your package! Well (: the package was ready for pickup as FedEx informed me. She goes to Walgreens, they lie to her face and say they dont have it. In the background sh can see the product I ordered for her. (She even took a picture and sent it to me - THEY OPENED HER MAIL). The employee tries to say it's store product. It's a Walmart exclusive. She literally shows the screenshots of the Walmart order and FedEx tracking They continue to refuse to give her the product I paid for I then call the Walgreens and have them transfer me to fedex They don't pick up the phone I tried to call 3 more times and Walgreens refused to answer my call
Apparently this is something they have done before too, straight up lied when she can see her item and then they tell her to come back tomorrow and they've repackaged it in a different box and slapped a...
Read moreWorst pharmacy in the area. Supper crowded, wait times are horrible. The pharmacy techs don't seem to have their stuff together. A few times they've told me to wait 10 minutes when the wait time is ta least 1 hour. The parking lot is always filthy and so is the store. Sorry to vent, but do yourself a favor, go to another store. For those other reviewers that claim that we all have to wait... I have no problem with this,,, Except when the techs call me that my Kid's prescription is ready only to wait again another hour! Sure we can all wait, that's not the problem, but the advantage of having your doctor send the prescription ahead of time is so that you don't have to wait as long. And if you are called that your meds are ready, they should be when you arrive, but a lot of times they are not! For those of you that have had a good experience kuddos to you, I've been there at least 5 times with 4 negative experiences, my last time there was...
