I came in today and cashier was late. I ordered 2 mazapan cold brew w mazapan cold foam. I double checked w the cashier about my order and it was confirmed. The owner came in a few mins after and turned the music and started making the drinks. She called out to me to confirm my order. I heard her say mazapan so I agreed. Then when I got my drinks, I got horchata cold brew w mazapan cold foam. I told her that's not what I ordered. She said she could only make me 1 drink and that they have no mazapan cold brew only latte. I wish they would have explained that to me at the time of ordering as to skip the confusion. Because i was ordering for my and my coworker, I said no that I would rather have my money back if I couldn't get what I ordered. She said "have you even tried the horchata one?" I said yes I didn't like it. Then the owner proceeded to tell me that she confirmed my order for horchata. I must have not herd horchata over the loud music and blenders going but I clearly heard mazapan (which is what I agreed to). Either way I left with no drinks and no money back. It's a shame bc I loved going to that place.

EDIT TO RESPOND TO OWNER: yes I came in at 758. The open sign was lit in pink. But your cashier didn't walk in till 805. Your mom was calling asking who was coming in to take orders. The cashier never asked me if I wanted horchata cold brew bc if she did I would've said no. It would make sense if she offered mazapan latte considering she knows the menu more than I do and that's the same flavor. When she called you on the phone saying she doesn't know how to make horchata cold brew I mentioned that it was supposed to be mazapan. I don't understand how I said mazapan so many times and still got the wrong thing. I recently moved to Chicago and was looking for a study space at a local coffee shop. I must admit, I visited a lot of local coffee shops before finding Fantasia. But once I did, I haven’t visited another coffee shop. I am an avid coffee drinker & the coffee beans Fantasia cafe uses are unmatched. It is a subtle but bold coffee taste that can still be appreciated with any one of Fantasia’s signature latte. My personal favorites are the Horchata Latte (made in house), Biscoff latte, & brown sugar oat milk shaken espresso (the cookie butter cold foam is a must). Another must try at Fantasia are their pastries. The Férreo tres leches and biscoff cookies are some of the best sweets I’ve ever tasted. Lastly, it’s the staff at Fantasia that places this local coffee shop as the best around. The owner, Cynthia, makes it a point to listen to the recommendations of her customers. She is always creating new flavors so that everyone has a favorite at Fantasia cafe. The baristas make each drink to perfection every time. But they go beyond just making your drink. They get to know you. They ensure that you leave Fantasia cafe wanting to come back and try the next latte or pastry. I wish all cities had a Fantasia cafe.
