I ordered 2 taco dinners and a large horchata for pick up. I was in and out in 2 minutes which was good, but the price was way too expensive for the quality and portion that I received. It was $25 dollars for it all. I am going to round up the prices of the food when put into the register. Each taco dinner was $7 and the large horchata qas $3, so all together it should be $17 plus 11% tax, rounding up the tax, it should have been about $18 or $19 max maybe $20. I was shocked, but I paid for it anyways. I did not tip simply because I went to pick up, i was not eating in, and I had not tasted the food yet to know whether tipping would be appropriate. Anyways, the cashier sneers and rolls her eyes after seeing I didn't tip for a sevice that wasn't used. I left, got home and when I opened up the box the tacos were small, as expected with many restaurants, but the portion size for the rice and beans was two spoonfulls of each at best. The rice was undercooked, the beans were good, but the taco was dissappointing. It was extremely oily, i mean it was as if it had been lathered in oil, the meat was almost completely full of nerves, and to top it off there was no flavor without the sauce and even with the sauce there was not much to work with. I know this place used to be Los Comales and I have waten kn when it was Los Comales. I do not know what changef exactly whether the management, the chef, the recipes, but the food has bombed since then. This event was really what pushed me over though. I really reccomend a retraining of the waitresses, a better quality meat, change in recipe, and pricing change. Honestly $7 for bad quality meat, high oil content, and extremely small portion is not worth it and there are better restaurants within a 2...
Read moreIt was a very disappointing experience. This was my first and for sure last time at this place. I placed my order online and headed out to pick it up a few minutes after receiving my email confirmation. When I arrived, my order wasn't ready, but Abigail, the lady at the register, said it was coming. There was a different order under the same name, no big deal, I just thought mine was a large other so it's going to take longer. Turns out their online ordering system was down and they weren't even aware of my order. The very nice server Paloma wrote my order down and took it the kitchen right away. I'm not sure if this is the way the usually prepare things, or if they just rushed my order, but not one item looked or tasted delicious. On top of the fact that I ended up missing one item. This was an upsetting experience overall, and not one time did any of the employees with whom I interacted apologized for the online order mishap. I always prefer to support the small business over the bigger guys, but places like this make...
Read moreThis is the worst place to buy food. They are racist at this place! A young black man walked in while I was waiting for my food and I seen with my own eye how rude the cashier and waitress were being to him. The young man was well mannered and well spoken. The 2 ladies kept looking at him and saying bad things about him for no reason. The young man was sitting there looking out the window waiting for his taco. The waitress that took my order was very rude and lacked customer service skills. My whole order was wrong except for 1 thing.the food had no flavor and the beans were dried out. I paid $100. For rude waitresses, wrong food and racism at it's fines! The place is a dump that doesn't deserve not even 1star but 0 isn't an option. I will never come back here and if your smart don't waste your time...
