Marmalade Mercantile — Local services in City of Ithaca

From the second I stepped inside, I was greeted with a beautiful tableau and enveloped with a warm, inviting vibe. I was greeted just as warmly by Deb, the shop owner, who chatted with me as I browsed. She's got the level of attentiveness just right-- she's lovely and engaging, anticipating customer needs (like offering the fitting room, if you're looking to try on their cute selection of vintage clothing) while also giving you room to explore the gorgeously-curated boutique. There are quirky, fun details to be found in every corner.

I've learned pretty much everything you see is fair game! Even antique pieces I was sure were display only, like vintage thermoses and framed art. All affordably priced.

Stationery, slim beeswax tapers, canvas pouches, unique kitchen/home goods, retro posters, knicknacks, vintage accessories, and so much more. I'll be adding photos, since words can't convey the array of awesome to be found here.

Even better is it's pet friendly! Bring your furry friends. I know I'm going to visit as often as I can to make up for not discovering this Ithaca gem sooner! What makes the vibe immaculate is the shop staff, especially the owner! They have been just sincerely kind, generous, and lovely people. They have a basket of free water bottles to keep visitors hydrated. This is a new local hospitality bar set!

This was my first time ordering from Marmalade . I ordered 6 items and overjoyed with 5 of the items but very unhappy with the 6th item. I ordered the Pimpernel Sprays that looked fantastic and would fit right in with my decor. They in no way were the item they posted and what I received. I have contacted them and awaiting an answer for returning on their nickel. I have attached the picture they advertised and what I received. Left is what they advertised, right...

My daughter was visiting from Wisconsin and had been following Marmalade Mercantile on Facebook so when she got here she checked how long of a drive it would be to go see it in person. We drove almost 2 hours to get there and it was well worth it! What a delightful shop. Quality merchandise that you don't find in a lot of other gift shops. We thoroughly enjoyed visiting the shop and will go again when we are in the area...or maybe just do...
