We got our kitchen done by Herzog’s, and although their designer, Elise, helped me implement my design, and I was initially very pleased with the installation process and the final look of the kitchen, the Wolf drawer and door fronts have been extremely disappointing. They were showing wear and imperfections even before installation, with uneven finishes on the veneer, rough patches, and holes in the wrong places, so we had several pieces exchanged right off the bat. We should have had even more replaced as we could already see places where the veneer wasn’t right, but we were eager to get the project behind us. Long story short: our bottom of the line IKEA cabinets showed less wear after two years than these do in our last kitchen. Wolf Cabinets are inferior. I wish we had done another IKEA kitchen or waited to work with another firm. At the time, there were pandemic related shortages, and all the other designers in the area had a backlog of jobs (the architect we were working with at the time also recommended Herzog’s if we weren’t doing anything too complicated, which we weren’t: we have a small kitchen), so we took a chance on Herzog’s. As I said, their service was fine —- they resolved an issue we had with our countertop, and we had no problems with the installation, but we would rather have spent more elsewhere and not have bubbling/rippling veneer at the bottom of several base cabinet door and drawer fronts and on the wall cabinet above the oven (with trim even hanging down!) and worn corners on the drawers and fronts that we use a lot already showing whatever composite material is beneath the veneer. Very disappointing and costly to redo. Hard to believe it was installed in the spring of 2023…...
Read moreI love this store. It has a wide ranging inventory. Whether I need to paint my walls, clean a new apartment, feed the local bird population or clear a yard full of debris to discover a stone patio which leads to creating a garden, I go to this amazing place. The staff is super friendly and seem happy to work there. Not to forget the Christmas items. Last year I bought all my gifts at Herzogs. They make me part of the community. I'm back in 2023 Recently I had occasion to visit the hardware department. About 11 Years ago I bought a solid pine table with detachable legs at a student yardsale. They asked for $5 but I had to insist to pay them at least $10 A few years later in the process of moving I lost an intrical part to attach the legs. Fast forward to this past week... I spoke to one of the gentleman in hardware and showed them replicas of the missing pieces. That man took his time and after patiently searching the 5 million drawers in the parts department came up with 3 possible items to take home. I paid $2.35. The table is fixed and I have a part left over. What is not to...
Read more9/13/23 Purchased two large sliding glass doors from Atrium through herzog's. Look forward to getting back to a five-star review but for now we can't use our house as intended, and while the customer service at herzog's is still really good, we're not getting any movement from their vendor Atrium Who makes the doors.
Original post You want to see the difference of good old-fashioned customer service as compared to the box stores like Lowe's and Home depot? Visit Herzog's and give them a chance. The customer service is phenomenal and the staff is knowledgeable. This is going to seem hard to believe, but they actually answer their phones every single time you call them. Good luck getting that from Lowe's or Home depot. I wish I knew about i Herzoggs when we first started our renovation but you can be sure that we will be doing the second portion of our renovation through this Home Center.
My experience was with Joe and the paint department and another Joe in the tool department, thank...
