Frivolous — Local services in City of Saratoga Springs

Words cannot describe how terrible this shop is.

I was visiting Saratoga with a couple of friends for a girl's weekend. When in the boutique I was immediately drawn to a velvet jacket hanging near the dressing rooms in the store. I fell in love immediately and went to the register to purchase it. There was a tag but no price listed. The sales woman not only refused to sell it to me but refused to contact anyone or look up anything claiming she did not know the price and that was that. There was another sales person in the store who claimed the other woman was in charge and she seemed confused and just threw her hands up as if to say she's seen this behavior before and was powerless.

I asked her numerous times if there was anything she could do so I could buy this and she basically ignored me and turned her back to me. Zero apologies. No offer of "can I get your number and contact you once I find out the information"? Nothing. She did not even offer to take it from me and hang it back up.

In an extremely embarrassing scenario I walked the jacket back to where it was hanging previously with my friends and other customers looking on. I re-hung it and left as she continued to graciously help another patron.

I've tried to call the store several times during regular operating hours they have listed and it just rings and rings. I did send them an email and have not heard back at this time.

Worst customer service. I live out of state and received a gift from the store. I tried to call to arrange an exchange immediately after I received the gift. No one ever answered the phone and there is no way to leave a voicemail. My emails went unanswered. I finally returned to Saratoga with the never-used item which is still carried in the store. I was treated rudely and impersonally and was essentially told to go away. Not my idea of a way to establish customer loyalty. I will avoid this store and recommend...

Service is excellent - friendly and professional without being overbearing - and though half of their clothing is for older women (albeit stylish still), the other half is young enough for twenty-something's who want a break from retail chain fashion without sacrificing quality or trends.
