Kohl's — Local services in City of Saratoga Springs

The first time I went to the store was the most horrific Kohl's experience I have ever had. I cut my credit card in half and gave it to the manager. With a gift card and the highest of intentions and knowing exactly how Kohl's works, I was tickled pink about this opportunity for $50 in store and wanted to maximize it. It was horrific and I double checked everything at customer service before going to the checkout. Unfortunately, I hadn't made sure they instilled that and when I got to check out nobody honored it because they were in a rush. 5 years later I returned to the store. The manager, whoever is no longer there and things run differently thank God.. every single thing at this place since then has been absolutely fruitful, seamless and the divine service was everything I remember from every other Kohl's that I had been to and all of a sudden I was reignited that I am happy to be part of this organization. Thank goodness. This particular experience I simply went in to get a couple of gift cards for Christmas for people, but I felt compelled to get something good for myself because I had some rewards. I saw this dress one of a kind of clearance item but clearly because of the tag and my experience it was an online return. One of a kind a dress, three quarter sleeves with pockets. Please had the most impeccable check out was able to use my discounts. My rewards every single thing I had earned and got the gift cards which was the only real reason I had went there and still came out on top. If I could give no stars I would. This place is a joke along with its lack of customer service. I went there today to return items that were purchased for my son and I for Christmas. First of all I didn't even get refunded the full price for what the items we purchased at. I got refunded the price they are currently. Second of all you really don't get an option as to how you get your money back. I was given 3 options the money could go back on the card I used to buy the items, second option kohl's cash and third option a check that may or may not come in the mail in 6-8 weeks. Now if you are like me and dont use a bank. You are forced to choose the kohl's cash. They swindle people out of their money then make it so the option you can use for a refund is kohl's cash. Yesterday I went to return a pair of corduroy pants I ordered online and received terrible service! The ladies behind the counter were too busy chatting with each other to acknowledge my existence for a good few minutes, then without greeting me in any way told me to come to a register. After ignoring me for 10 more minutes trying to figure out how to work the computer, they told me they would only refund $7 of the $26 total. They told me my only other option was to sell the pants myself. How and why would I have to sell them myself? When I bought them from Kohl's because I know I can return them or I thought I could! Will not buy from Kohl's again or go in this store. Very disappointed as I never had an issue with returning online purchases...
