This was my third time visiting Mystery Bins. The first two times were great—I found some really good deals, the staff was helpful, and the store’s huge size makes for a fun shopping experience.
Unfortunately, this time wasn’t as positive. Pricing felt inconsistent. Items aren’t clearly labeled, and depending on who you ask, you may get a different answer. In one case, an employee simply googled the Walmart price and offered 50% off, which didn’t feel like much of a deal since stores often run bigger end-of-season discounts themselves.
I did score some bargains in the $1 bins, but checkout was frustrating. The cashier had earbuds in, wasn’t very attentive, and accidentally charged me for three fans when I only bought two. I didn’t notice until I got home. To make things worse, one of the fans I purchased was broken right out of the box—the blade was snapped, and it rattled loudly when plugged in.
Overall, you can still find good deals here, but shoppers need to be very careful: double-check prices, watch your receipt closely, and inspect items before leaving the store.
