Newbury Comics — Local services in City of White Plains

Ugh! I adore these mangas. As an Otaku girl I can't tell you how happy I was to find this gem. I was getting tired of Crunchyroll and KissAnime don't get me wrong I love anime but my eyes needed a break and nothing beats a good read and going back to the roots! Shopping online for stuff can be tricky sometimes when it comes to manga. Luckily I was able to find Gantz volume 11 online in mint condition because they sadly told me they weren't selling it in the store anymore. But I love getting texts from Newbury for sales! I’ve been a customer at the newbury, mass location for a long time and having a newbury comics near me is truly a godsend.

My favorite aspect of shopping for records in person is discovering new music from the catalogue and by Shazamming whatever is being played in store over the speakers, however this is where my complaint lies. The ONLY music played in the store for the past few months has exclusively been k-pop. I know a ton of people love k pop but geez it’s pretty irritating to only hear one type of music every single time I’m there. This is my only complaint but honestly it’s to the point where I cant go too often since the music gets so annoying lol. Please someone see this and...

Despite having "comics" in its name, Newbury Comics is more of a pop culture gift shop than a comic book store. It's definitely not a replacement for your local comic shop. The selection of new comics (floppies) is fairly small, with only two or three racks devoted to them. Graphic novels fare a bit better. The store had just about any classic graphic novel I could think of. When I was there they had a "buy 2 graphic novels get 1 free" promotion, which was a great deal.

Where the store really excels is in its selection of pop culture gifts — t-shirts, mugs, refrigerator magnets, Funko Pop figures, etc. If you're a pop culture aficionado it's a blast just to browse the...
