The store is nice and well organized but the employees are garbage. I attempted to pick up some items here tonight and decided at the counter that I would not spend my money in an establishment that doesn't value my money and choice to enter their establishment. Short story - walked in at 8:49pm and security advised me that the doors are locked 10 minutes till. I was turning to head back to my car but he asked if I knew what I wanted and I said yes. Upon walking into the store one of the ladies at the countered says "why did you let them in" I replied by saying "don't worry we are grabbing one thing and will never shop here again." Security follows us to the area where we pick up our items. I turn to walk up the aisle and an associate on the next aisle says "other stores close at 6pm" I wasn't sure what that had to do with anything considering they close at 9pm on Sunday per the door and website so I decided to ask her and the lady decides to instead be rude. I said a few choice words and headed to the check out with my 2 items. The time was now 8:53. I asked the guy at the counter for the managers name and number or email and he said he did not have a number but her name is Ming. He said I could come back tomorrow. It's pretty hard to believe you don't have contact info for the store owner but okay. I put my items on the counter and reached in my wallet and decided at that moment that I could not spend money in a store that allows it's employees to talk mess, follow us around the store, and disrespect us. So I told him to forget it and left. On the way out security gives me a store card and tells me to call and speak with the manager. I needed the products but more importantly I need to feel like a store values me when I reach into my wallet to spend my hard earned money. This location does not. I will never, ever enter this store again. I have visited multiple Angie Beauty locations and the service has been great, but this location is the worst. My advice to management would be to work on your hiring practice and selection processes. This was by far my worst shopping experience thanks to your staff and their...
Read moreIf you plan on spending more than 30 seconds inside this establishment and like being followed around from the second you walk in to the moment you walk toward the register, then this is the place for you. What’s great is that there is absolutely no hint of subtlety or stealth from your new shopping buddy – they very obviously want you to know that you cannot be trusted to not give in to your innate criminal desire to steal unless you know you are being watched.
Thank goodness dude was there, hovering and brushing past me every five seconds, because if it weren’t for him and his definitely not weak attempts to look like he was doing any actual work, I would have just shoved the entire handbasket right into my tiny purse. Or better yet, dumped everything down my pocketless pants and walked right out. Because if I’m going to steal, I’m going to do it at a business owned by people who notoriously don’t like or trust their clientele and operate like the live-action version of a neighborhood watch sign.
If you catch yourself in Angie’s, give a shout-out to Johnny English in the hat and gray jeans. The results of his training went exactly as expected and helped me remember why I just love shopping at beauty supply stores. If it also weren’t for their broad and totally unique selection of items that absolutely cannot be found elsewhere, I don’t know what I would have done.
Not only does shopping at Angie’s teach you honesty, you learn the value of selflessness as well. It would have been selfish of me to keep the items that I also can’t believe I actually followed through with purchasing. Taking those items out of circulation (the legal way, of course) denies you, future customer, the opportunity to shop for the same and get the Angie’s treatment. In the spirit of selflessness, let my returned items be your fortune.
So thank you, management of Angie’s, for curating this necessary experience and keeping me honest.
As for the one star? Don’t worry, one star just means one visit – I’m keeping the other slots open so that I can add a star for every visit subsequent to...
Read moreI am a well respected cosmetologist and MUA in the TV and filming industry that recently relocated to Atlanta from NY. I have an insatiable appetite for well put together beauty supply stores. I stumbled upon Angie's several weeks ago and by way of one of my clients. When I went there immediately I felt as though this would be my go to beauty supply. Not for just me but all my clients and industry friends. After discovering this place I went about 3 to 4 times a week. Not just by myself but with friends client and family. Whom all spent no less than $80 a person. Not even including what I spent which was 2x that. One day I went in there and was stabbed when picking up a pack of hair that had the sensor pushed through too far to the point where it drew blood that bleed so much it dripped down my hand. I asked did they have a bandaid. All they had was a paper towel. Which is against law and code for them not to have a first aid kit on hand. I didnt sweat it even though they could care less. The following week I went to purchase some swim and beach wear for my upcoming trip to Miami and picked up a 1x instead of the 2x that was right beside it. Which is easy to do because they had so many Jeans packed on one rack. I didn't notice it until I got home to pack it in my suitcase that i saw it was a 1x. So i went in the store the very next day to do an even exchange and they nastily refused me. I asked to speak to the manager and was told to come back tomorrow. I got his name and called the following day. Hopefull that there would be some type of golden customer service rewarded to me for all the business I had brought to them and planned to continue to bring in just a short 2 weeks. But I was sadly mistaken and now I'm left with $35 shorts that I cant fit. Needless to say there is a C&C Beauty supply across the street that prices matches and is just as good and far more pleasant. They also have things that Angie's doesnt have. Moral of the story, DONT SPEND YOUR MONEY THERE! I will be suing them for getting...
