Duckanoo Grill — Restaurant in Clarkston

My sisters and I usually find a restaurant to eat and chill about once a month on a Friday night. Last night I picked Duckanoo Grill. One of my sisters had actually eaten there before and loved the salmon pasta. The entrance to the parking lot is easy to miss especially if you are new to the area. Once I was finally able to get into the parking lot, there was multiple double parked cars and handicapped parking was blocked. I figured this place must be great. As I walked into the restaurant I may have gotten a "contact"! Two of my sisters were already there. They had ordered appetizers. The coconut shrimp was delicious 😋! It actually tasted like coconut with every bite! Then the waitress came over. I tried to ask about their non alcoholic beverages but she kept trying to strongly suggest that I get the rum punch. Good thing I chose not to drink alcohol and am not a recovering alcoholic. Finally, I had to firmly inform her that I do not drink and would like to know what other drinks they had. She continued to insist on the fruit punch. While the fruit punch was good, I like to make my own choices. Then I informed her that we are ready to order. She said ok and proceeded to walk off without our orders. I asked if someone else would be taking our order. It was really crazy and the rest of the night was the same. One of my sisters ordered the crab legs after being assured that they would definitely not be spicy. However, you guessed it they were spicy. Our waitress told my sister that she couldn't send it back at which point we asked for the manager. He was understanding and allowed her to change her order. My other sister and I got the pasta which was delicious and a large portion.

We happened to look up and saw our waitress smoking the hookah. I can't say if I will get the salmon pasta again but I know we wouldn't...

I gave one star because the food was good. As for service I’m very disappointed, service was very horrible!!! It’s the first I ever wrote a review on someone and it’s due to the fact I was so upset. We waited almost an hour to get a rum punch that we ordered, waitress was so rude, she didn’t checked back on tables and I watched her smoking hookah the whole time at the point of sales and bar area. I visited her several time at the bar area asking her for some scotch bonnet pepper mark you she told me to have a seat, she never returned. We had ordered a second rum punch after ordering our meals and she totally forget, we finished eating no pepper or rum punch I was so upset I went back to her and say “ you know what we need our check” she ignored us for another half an hour I had to ask the assistance of another waitress who took the check which has two rum punches so I told the waitress I only received one which need to be deducted from check. In order to secure her tip which she gave no service, she added gratuity!!! She knew she never deserved a tip so I asked her why is it added she say manager says so, I asked her where on the menu has a legal binding of me to be bound to pay a gratuity on two people, and no service. She say it’s there for four or more and I say we are only two people!!! I paid her the $60 and walked out VERY...

I went here to celebrate my 28th Birthday and let me tell you I had a blast the food was great the music was on point and the vibe was amazing. I went during the day initially to get a feel for the place and knew right away I would come back my first waitress was Leah and had she been my waitress when we came back it would have been 5 stars. However, when we arrived later that night our waitress was Meelah and she forgot our drink orders, so I had to stop another waitress to get our drinks (Leah) who brought them back in less then a minute. Due to the young lady who was suppose to be attending to us not being attentive and having to ask other staff for attention our group paid for 2 orders of drinks 3 TIMES. Being that it was a celebration for me I didn't come out of pocket at all but it was surely brought to my attention. With all of that being said I WILL be back soon and WILL recommend duckanoo to all of my friends but I will tell them if (Meelah) tries to wait on them REQUEST...
