I have never in my life been treated so poorly. Please give your service and hard earned money to a kinder establishment. I came in Wednesday before Thanksgiving informing these ladies I had a flight in a few hours and wanted two simple cornrows. They told me my hair is too short and that Iād have to get 6 separate braids - that was fine. I had a hour wait time which was also fine. Upon finishing my hair the elder lady told me she was done, I asked her how much and she said 75. She did not provide a mirror for me to look at my hair and I take accountability, I should have never left that building without taking a good look at these braids. I passed my card to her and she said no she only takes Zelle and cash. I just wish I would have known this as I waited for an hour and would have been prepared. I am a college student expecting to pay with my credit card so it took about 5 minutes for me to set up a Zelle account. The elder lady who braided me told me to hurry up and that she needed to leave - extremely rude I honestly couldnāt believe it myself. When I say it took no longer than 5 minutes for me to set up this account (which could have been taken care of if communicated beforehand) next thing you know, she left! So, not only did I inform them that I also had a flight and things to do - just like my braider did - there was zero curtesy for the care of my braids, my time, and my experience. The braids are uneven to my head, completely slanted. I flew out of Atlanta and my family had a whole lot to say about these braids. Itās simply not good. Anyway, now it is the following Monday. I just landed back in Atlanta and headed straight here to see if they could do any accommodations. Luckily, the elder lady was in the building. I came in with kind intentions and hopeful for a solution. I asked if there is anything she could do to accommodate these braids because they are simply not good, in which she told me she sees nothing wrong she will not refund or redo these braids. She begins speaking with two other ladies in their native language and has someone else speak for her and inform me that I can come in at a later time for a discounted price⦠All of this to say, there are several negative reviews here. Please, I hate to write negative reviews, this is actually my first and Iām beyond upset having to do this - if you are considering coming here please donāt. I found her on tiktok so I decided to call and make a appointment for 9am the next morning.(Sure wish i would have reviewed her shop on here first) i was the very first client to arrive. She had 2 others braiders inside with her, they all sitting around talking and eating so she didn't start on my hair until 10:20 am. When she finally started she was on the speaker phone %80 of the time and they were talking very loud. She'd answered every call that came in which slowed her down. shes talking to others in the shop as well and again, "it slows her down." But i noticed other customers came in and was out quickly because 2 braiders worked on each client.... why not me?!?! I couldn't understand that, seeing i was the first 1 there and I told her I had to be back to duluth by 4 (just knew I had time). By the time she finished my hair it was 6:29 pm.... at this point im pissed and starving. I had no problem respectfully letting her know that i felt mistreated. she was very dismissive. very loud, rude, and nasty plain unsanitary. she had a client bring in some French fries that she ate while braiding my hair....The nerve!! I couldn't believe her. her shop is a hot mess with roaches, hair weave, combs, even water bottles scattered on the floor. Smdh (clients literally had to step over all that mess) so as im gathering my things and paying (didn't even look at my hair, because I was so upset) I asked for a receipt, she said, "i dont give receipts" like really?!?! Ok thsts when i decided to tell her how I felt as far as the other 2 braiders not helping braid me but braided everyone else... and that I she needs to clean up this nasty azz shop!!!!
Looking at her replys to the other comments on here, says alot about her lack of respect and customers service. Oh yeah, please don't get her shop confused because there's several other braiding shops named "Fatima hair braiding" but this shop sits on Memorial drive in the plaza with "City trends." PS she gave me a price on the phone then when I arrived she quoted a higher price... then i said, "hold on nah, You told me $180 on the phone now its $240?" then she switched back to $180. I witnessed her on the phone and in person do the samething to others...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI wanted to give this place a try instead of going to my usual and I was completely upset at the lack of professionalism. I called in about 3 days In advanced and I still had to wait for a seat. I arrive at 3:15 pm for my 3:30 appointment and wasnāt seated until 5:30pm. They made me comb out my own hair and tried to get me to wash it, mind you this is their job to do someoneās hair btw. The First Lady that did my hair wanted me to pay even though the back of my head was not done. She then left and I was moved on to the slowest woman in existence, she was talking having a ball with all the other women in the shop. Then, around 8pm they decided to straight up invite all their family to the shop and basically have a family reunion while I was the last customer getting my hair braided. I was no where near done during this time and only had one lady working on my hair while the rest were prioritizing their childrenās hair instead of a paying customer who had been there for 5 hours already. To also add salt to the wound the braids she was supposed to be doing were big jumbo braids and curls at the end, I specifically asked for this on call and in the shop. My hair looked nothing like that and I had regular medium sized braids that were finally finished around 11:30 pm. I sat in that shop for 9 hours at this point livid not only because I paid for poor quality work but the fact that it took so long and I was treated as if I didnāt pay 250$ for this style. I recommend if you want to come here, do not expect to get what you want because theyāll do it their way instead of listening to the customer. My time there was severely unpleasant and I hope that they train their staff better when it comes to handling their customers.
Edit: I forgot to add that while I just got my hair done two weeks ago on April 7 and my hair is already coming out. Also to the business owner replying yes I do have the right page maybe spend more time working on your customers hair instead of checking reviews you would have more business and less people...
