Dillard’s is by far my favorite store. Up until tonight I had never had a bad experience, and I am in there more than I’d like to admit lol. This evening I went in to look at the evening gowns available. I found one in particular that I loved. I wanted to try one size smaller and I found the size I needed and went to try it on. The lady that was working this department had been very rude up to this point, but I ignored it and went about what I was doing. As I was in the dressing room with my young daughter the lady knocked on the door and asked if I had both dresses in the dressing room. I let her know that I did. She then said that she needed the size 4, which I intended to buy. I let her know that I had it on. She loudly stated that I needed to get it off because there was someone else that wanted to try it and actually buy it. I was beyond mortified! I am not sure why she thought that I did not plan on making a purchase, and honestly that is irrelevant as every customer should be treated with respect. I changed into my clothes and took the size 6 , to avoid further conflict as I was already so embarrassed, and went to check out. She was rude again as I went to check out so I took the dress so that I could checkout somewhere else. I went over to the “Free People” and “Gianni Bini” section and asked to check out. I was visibly shaken up at this point because I had never been socially assaulted in public like this. The lady in this section was an angel. She has helped me many times in the past because this is my favorite section of the store. She remembered me and even referenced my last visit, which in a way helped me calm down because I felt like she knew me. She went and got two managers. They handled the situation flawlessly. I can not thank these three women enough for their compassion and understanding. Because of the way that they handled such a horrible situation, I will definitely continue to visit Dillard’s. These three amazing women definitely reminded me why this is my...

The short, petite blonde older woman who is the manager of the juniors area, I am NOT pleased with. A few months ago, I went to the junior section to return a dress that did not fit well. When I walked up to the cashier, it was a young friendly woman. Unfortunately the computer did not seem to work correctly as she was trying to perform the return. She calls over the blonde older woman who is apparently the manager. She’s huffing and puffing for who knows what but my first impression of her did not impress me. She treated her employee like she was dumb!
As the manager started to perform the return, once again the computer failed when it tried to give me back the money to my card. The manager says in a LOUD voice, “Your card was denied. Do you have money on your card?” First of all, as a manager you DO NOT yell out if the customer’s card is denied in front of other customers. It’s embarrassing and extremely rude. Secondly, THIS WAS A RETURN. Why would my card be denied if I’m being given back money? Thirdly, my friend was shopping for clothes a few feet away from me and heard the manager ask that question to me. I was in awe!!!
Eventually we went to another cash register to perform the return. She did not apologize for the delay and didn’t even tell me to have a nice day. Overall, I was extremely upset with the junior department manager. She lacks in professionalism. She should not be allowed to be responsible for other employees when she can not be responsible...
