I was really excited when I found this place on 2/3/19 because I had been having trouble hunting down some older Disney movies that I wanted to share with my 7 yr old daughter. This is the only reason I gave 1 star, because they do have a nice selection of Disney movies. But, if there is a problem be ready to feel like you did something wrong! One of the movies that I bought, “The Little Mermaid”, skipped. I could not find a receipt and don’t remember getting one but I hoped that between their sticker on the movie and me asking a lot of questions that someone would know that I purchased it there. Well, the remarks that I got was “we ALWAYS give a receipt” and “we have LOTS of ppl ask questions “. Ok..... They said that they would clean the movie and that should work. Ok, no problem. Except, that didn’t work and my daughter said that it skipped even worse. So I take it back today, 2/17/19, and I get “Are you within your 7 days?” The first time I brought it in I was. “Well your 7 days doesn’t extend just because you brought it back the first time within 7 days.” I’m sorry, but not everyone has time to go home and watch a movie everyday. “Well, believe me, the ppl that come in here make sure to watch there movie in a day or 2.” To all of you full-time working parents out there with a child in school, who has homework every night, eats dinner, and goes to bed at a decent time knows that movies during the week are nearly impossible! Not to mention, we had a death in our family this week, unfortunately. And I believe I brought it back both times in a timely manner. So he said to write my name and number down and he would get another from the warehouse and send that one to the processing center in Florida for them to watch to see if it really skips and would call me in about a week.????? Ok, whatever. You see, their policy it that you have 7 days to return items if there is something wrong and then you can only exchange it for the same exact item. And that’s fine with me but I want the item to work. And why do I feel that I’m getting hassled for that?? It doesn’t make sense to go through all this when there policy is what it is. How would it benefit me to keep bringing something back just to get the same thing? So why even go through the trouble of watching the movie to make sure what the customer says is true just to give the same exact thing?? I have been in customer service for my whole life and I know that the saying “the customer is always right” is not always true. But when a good is sold to the customer that is defective then you need to make it right! I’m not asking for money back, I want that movie. Read moreI would say it’s a pretty good place overall I’m in it for the games but they do have a good set of action figures and movies and systems now some people may have trouble with older systems but there old systems so it’s just age getting to them with ps 1, ps2, Xbox, nes, snes, GameCube, n64, and older ones but they will fix them and make sure they work.( and sometimes it may take a bit to fix them but they are always willing to help even in this pandemic and I’m willing to wait to make sure everything is correct) Pricing on games and systems is fair not crazy cheap but not overpriced movies are really cheap and figures range on what you are getting. Also the trade in is a lot better then gamestop and the only reason I would go to gamestop then Hollywood games is because the switch games they have are very little but they still do have them and there fairly priced. But with trade in if you want the most cash you can get you give them the console and games at once and they will give you a better deal then just walking in and giving them games and if you just want games they will give you great in store credit for them so you could turn around and get a few games free with that credit. So overall it’s fairly priced better then gamestop and WAY better then that old buy backs that uses to be in Clarksville that overpriced everything, they have a good choice in games and movies for movies I’m sure you could find anything your looking for and games they will most likely have it but not all the time but if you come back after a week they will have new games up there they are all used so if you have problems with the games you can always bring it back to them and they will fix them along as your not snapping them in half then don’t worry they will help you but just be responsible with them and they will help you sorry for the rambling but this store has been pretty good to me and other friends of mine so I really think more people should check it out if there looking for something that’s a little harder to come by in...
Read moreBought a copy of Maximo for the Playstation 2, got some pushback when I tried to exchange it for a different copy (it had a Blockbuster theft deterrent on the disc that made it look miserable; bought a few other games and didnt check the condition of the discs which I highly suggest you do if you buy from this place.) The owner finally decided to let me exchange the disc for a better copy which was nice of him since I didnt have a receipt (they forgot to give me one and suggested that I lost it or the wind blew it away.) He condescendingly asked me if I was going to make another purchase as he rooted through his disc binder, and I did since he was cool enough to exchange the bad disc. Then when I try to play the game it stutters at the intro video and wont load the first level. As the game indefinitely attempts to load it causes my PS2's disc reader to make terrible clicking noises. Looking closely at the disc in the right light you can see tiny scratches all over it. I'm assuming they do the most minimal testing possible for their games and equipment. The owner made sure I was aware that the receipt states they can refuse service/refunds for any reason, so I absolutely won't buy from here anymore.
