Me and two of my friends went to get cartilage on our ear done. I was first and Lilly pierced my ear. It did hurt, but nothing I couldn’t stand. One of my friends went next and had a horrific mess. Evidently Lilly had never done a piercing in the area my friend wanted done. Instead of saying she could not do it, she went ahead and tried, and tried, and tried for over 45 minutes to get one earing in. Finally someone else had to come and do it.That person had a hand that was all bandage up, he put a glove on over his bandages and went to work. He had tried several times to tell Lilly how to do it, but she did not listen. My friend was in excruciating pain but didn’t give up. My second friend backed out after seeing what went on with the last piercing. My friend ending up getting an infection and being put on antibiotics. The ball came off my earing and I went to go have another on put on and was told the person that did my piercing was not there and no one else could help me….REALY! I ended up going someplace else and was told the wrong earing was put in, that’s why the back came off. The earring was too small and when your ear swells it pushes the back off. This does not begin to really tell how bad the pain and mess of not knowing how to properly put in the...
Read moreI know they have moved locations so I hope this stays! I called today about a piercing that was looking bad and had been done by another shop. This other shop would not help me and were just generally rude. Emily came to my rescue. She replaced my nose ring that had been getting infected after just two days most likely due to dirty techniques at the original shop. Everything was sterilized and dated at Ageless Art. Emily walked me through new cleaning techniques, told me where to get the supplies she couldn't offer, told me what to do in case of a keloid, and was generally very helpful and kind. She also told me how to get the ring back out. The original shop acted like I was insane for asking how the jewelry went in and came out. Their answer was " like normal????". I can't recommend them enough and the new shop off Charlestown Rd/Slate Run Rd...
Read moreIm 16 years old and wanted my tragus pierced. We went in one to see what the requirements were. The guy who was at the front desk told us that we i need either a drivers license or permit or birth certificate and my parent/guardian's id and that we both had to have the same last name. So we went in the next day and a different guy was at the front. We sat there about 20 min before he handed us the paperwork and we filled out. Then we handed it to him and my mom pulled out my birth certificate and her drivers license and showed the guy. He said that i need two forms of identification when the other day a different guy clearly said one or the other. So we went some where else in Louisville to get it done, artfully insane. I would recommend them to anyone wanting a piercing who is a minor or not. I had an amazing experience and am planning...
