We weren’t greeted as we walked in like we used to remember coming here. A couple kids asked us if we wanted a booth or to sit the bar after we walked up to them. We asked for a booth and they told us to go sit ourselves in a booth next to the bar. We weren’t even escorted like they usually would do. We sat ourselves in a small clean booth and while we were looking at our menus, two girls came up to us and told us we couldn’t sit there and that we can go sit at the bar. We tried to explain we were told to sit there and one of them interrupted us quickly telling us we can’t just sit wherever we want and that we needed to sit in the booth in the farthest corner closest to the bar like we were directed, claiming we were told different (they did not specify originally which one). My boyfriend was about to say some nasty comments but made him not to. We go to the booth we were directed to but it was filthy and dirty, and we couldn’t find the girls that told us to sit there because at that point I was ready to say something myself, but we never saw them again. We decided to sit at the bar where it looked cleaner and the bartender tonight did an amazing job with our order, the cook forgot to plate my rice but it was okay. I’m just glad our bartender/waitress was closer to our age and obviously shows more experience in hospitality compared to the front of the house. Which is a shame, they could have gotten a pretty nice tip from us. It got me thinking though, after tonight, I don’t really want to come back or eat out anymore. It isn’t the same. We live in a world where hospitality and effort is a thing of the past. People expect more from doing less. And I promise I’m not much older than these kids. I’m only born in 95. I had been wanting to come to T.R. For a long time, and we just weren’t impressed this time. We were really only impressed with our server. Thank you for taking care of us. My blue cooler and Long Island tea for $5 was delicious. Cooks did excellent job with our steaks too.

My friend and I were really looking forward to eating prime rib one Wednesday evening in January. It was getting quite late but we rang ahead to check that prime rib was available that evening. The clear answer from the helpful lady on the phone was "Yes". So we drove the considerable distance over from Corydon, full of hope. Anyway, we parked in the free parking area and went into this place which, it being ca. 9 pm, was slowly thinning out. We sought out a booth before being told that that section was closed. We moved, therefore to a booth closer to the bar. The floor around the bar was strewn with used napkins and other detritus but we put this down to it having probably been a busy evening earlier. Our friendly and chirpy young waitress then appeared and we made it quick & simple - drinks and prime rib please. Stop! She apologetically explained that they only do prime rib here at the weekends. Hello! We wondered if anyone had ever told the lady manning the telephone here. We were furious. Not with the waitress, of course but with the telephone operator. It was too late to go anywhere else so we cut our losses and I went for the 16oz Fort Worth Ribeye steak and salad which was OK. I washed this down with iced lemonade. My sincere plea to the management. Please ensure that all your staff, including those taking telephone calls, acquaint themselves with the menu and what is being served on which night of the week. Thank you.

Quick and Painless I was in the Clarksville/Louisville area and wanted a quick and simple meal. I have been to many Texas Roadhouse locations throughout the US and pretty much knew what I wanted and what I was going to get. When I arrived it was busy but the hostess sat me almost right away which is a perk for the solo diner. I looked at the menu bit already knew what I wanted and ordered a cup of chowder and a sirloin steak with broccoli. I was going to be visiting restaurants in Louisville for the next few days and just needed a quick and simple meal. The chowder came quickly and was eaten in about two minutes. My steal came out cooked just the way I liked it. The server explained how I could pay on the tablet and I was able to eat and leave fairly quickly and was off to my next adventure in no time. This is a busy restaurant so be prepared to wait. Another painless dining experience at another Texas Roadhouse.

I took my wife and grandson to Texas Roadhouse so I could use my coupon for Veteran's Day, which Brian Lawless, Managing Partner gave me on Veteran's Day. I really appreciate Brian for caring for Veteran's. I know my fellow military guys appreciate Mr. Lawless also, because it has a lasting impression on us. We talk about Brian's generosity when we talk about Texas Roadhouse. So what are the odds that Danielle would be our server again and remember my wife and I from a year ago using my Veteran's meal voucher? I was with a Marine and wifey that day and Danielle remembered specific things about that visit. Wifey and I go other times also, but 2 years now, Danielle served us when I brought the Veteran's Day voucher. Danielle is one of the most pleasant servers anywhere and very attentive to details. She literally has a refill on the table before I ask for one. She gives the impression she likes to serve at Texas Roadhouse and makes us feel special. She makes perfect suggestions regarding the menu also. She is on top of her game. On to the food. I asked about peanuts when I arrived and received 2 bags at the Hostess station. We had called in ahead of time and were seated about 5 minutes after arrival. When we were seated we realized Danielle would be our server. Fantastic! The ambiance is VERY casual and homey. They no longer encourage throwing peanut shells on the floor, but rather give a bucket to put them in. ;) We started on the peanuts, ordered drinks and a Cactus Blossom, which was fabulous. The Raspberry Tea will cause you to leave barefooted, because it will knock your socks off. Wifey ordered blackened salmon. I told Danielle to UP the size so I could get a taste. Wifey and I liked it very much and would order it again. Wifey also ordered a Caesar salad and steakhouse fries which were both gooood. Grandson ordered an 8 oz Sirloin cooked medium rare with a bowl of chili and green beans. He was very satisfied with everything. I ordered a 6 oz sirloin cooked medium with, onions, mushrooms, Steakhouse fries and fresh vegetables that were all fine. The steaks were perfectly cooked and tender. We brought home half of the onion, half of the steak, a 3rd of salmon, some veggies and several rolls with butter. Its a good thing because my son and another grandson showed up a little hungry. They enjoyed the leftovers. We had a wonderful visit and look forward to our next one. It is hard to choose between the steak and salmon, so will probably order both again and naturally, start with a Cactus Blossom. Thank you again, Mr. Lawless for your great establishment, arguably the BEST restaurant in Southern Indiana. I hear MANY people make that claim and I agree. Food is well prepared and service is second to none, especially if blessed...

Let me preface by saying my review is in no way a reflection of our waiter Michael or Makena. Both of them were amazing. And made the experience better. The issue was the customer service when you first walk in with Mo. My family and I came here to get together in Indiana as we typically frequent the one in Louisville where we live. We were told that we had to have a mangers approval as it was 8 of us or we can sit at different tables in a rude tone. Than was told well if you want to check in you need to talk to the person standing next to us. This caused confusion as I was unsure on why she was talking to us if she couldn’t help us. I did as I was told and put our name down and both parties were called at the same time. We’re in different sides of the restaurant. Mekena sits our portion of the party down and there’s a table behind us empty. She states she can sit the remaining of the party there since it’s open. I sit with my children and she goes to get our party and the chaos continues with Mo. she basically refused to allow our family to sit in the empty table behind us because “it’s closed.” The table has a name on it as if they will sit someone. She tells another coworker that they aren’t going to sit there because they would need to wait to sit together. But there’s multiple open seats. She stating it as if we were on punishment in a condensing tone and she told us we couldn’t sit with our family. She tells the manager there is a seating issue that basically he needs to deal with. Instead of telling what’s actually happened. The manager Justin proceeds to tell us that area is closed. Remembering there is a name on the table we laugh at the excuse. He basically states that it’s not an option and than we sit separately. During this another guest leaves directly across from us and the manager is explaining to other employees what happened not knowing I was part of the party. I ask if it’s ok for our family to sit here and he states he has to check. Long story short we were able to sit together. And another family was sat directly behind us a few moments later.

Mo set the tone for the experience she is rude and she doesn’t have any type of customer care. I’m not sure if she was having a bad day or if she feels empowered by being able to sit people and it went to her head. And the other staff seem to be intimidated by her. Someone should probably have her take several seats in...

I want to first say that I have always loved Texas Roadhouse. That was not my experience this past Sunday. Everything was just off in the experience was not pleasant. I understand that You're not always going to get 100% when you dine out but this experience just left such a bad impression on me that I think it will be a while before I decided to go back in. A waitress was fine. Not happy with the server but that was ok. Our seating left a lot to be desired. We were seated where the orders were coming out to the tables and we were at a very small table. There was no room to hardly eat and we kept getting bumped into and servers taking orders opposite from us with their rears right on our table. That made it very uncomfortable to try to eat. But it was our food that I was most unhappy with and that's probably the most important part right? It took over a half hour after we ordered to get our salad. And it was very lacking from the last time that we had been there. It was very skimpy and not very much toppings or even greens. When I say a small salad I mean it was very small. It was the house salad by the way. Then when our main course came the first thing that I noticed was that The bacon on our loaded potatoes was burned. Very overcooked. My husband got the 16 oz sirloin and I got the 8 oz. He got medium rare which was mostly rare. I got medium well which was very very overcooked and very tough. I also noticed that the size of my steak looked considerably less than half of my husband's which made me think that I got a 6 oz instead of an 8 oz. My shrimp on a skewer was good except it was not as warm as it could have been. I felt like our order had been sitting for a while before they picked it up and brought it to us. We did not say anything to the server or even the manager as he passed and asked how our food was. But in our defense we had just got our food and hadn't had a chance to even taste it. We were too busy trying to make room for the plates on the tiny table. I do not like giving negative reviews. But this was not a pleasant experience at all. There's so much more but I'm just trying to review on our food. I have always loved Texas Roadhouse and it's always been our go-to for a good meal. We were both sorely disappointed and I think it will be a while...
