US Storage Centers — Local services in Clearwater

I got this storage unit very end of February - beginning of march. I agreed to pay $86 per month for a 10x10 unit. And $15 for the protection plan. So after taxes I was paying $104.08. They said the first 2 months would be half off, and then would resume to regular payments, and after a few months the price could raise a little bit. This is not my first time having a storage unit, I had one for 2+ years before, and over that 2+ years the price had gone up a total of maybe $20…. Well I’m only not even 4 months in at this place and they’re already trying to raise my rate $80 EXTRA A MONTH!!!! (Which my monthly payment would be $186.48) I went in and complained and the man who was working at the desk wrote an email to a higher up, I did get an email back saying they would raise it only an additional $40 instead of $80 a month… so they now want me to pay $145.28. I really feel as if I got scammed. They want you to move all your belongings in there, maybe even move out of town so you’re unable to move everything to another unit, and be stuck paying their new ridiculous price. Now after moving all my stuff in there only 3-4 months ago, I’ll now have to move it all out because I’m not going to stay at a place I feel is scamming me. This is NOT what...

Arrived in mid afternoon and there was a sign on the door that no one would be back until three. My movers had just driven hours and we were all waiting as I was paying them hourly. There was a woman sitting in her car in the parking lot, after 40 minutes of waiting she, an employee named Sara, got out and went to go inside, I tried to follow her in so I could get the key to my unit, I had already paid for it all. She shut the door in my face and pointed to the sign on the door that it was not 3 pm yet even though she watched me and my movers stand outside for 40 minutes. She finally opened the office and scanned my id and handed me an envelope with information about the storage unit. She didn't say a word, I had to ask her if that was the pin to get in or tell me where the unit was, extremely rude. Overall they cost me an extra 140 in my move and just left a bad impression, I spoke to the manager about the incident after and she only offered me half off a month of rent, which doesn't even recover the money I lost due to...

1st time I showed up the door was locked while employee was right in front of me on the phone with someone for 10 to 15 min. I left my information for them to contact me at a better time. When I spoke to someone I told them I changed my mind about renting with them.They then called and texted me almost everyday for a month to see if I was still interested in a unit. I decided to give them a shot and leased a unit yesterday. They gave me almost no information on the unit except for the unit number. I have no gate access code. So I couldn't get in after office hours. So today after calling and getting no answer I showed up with a pickup truck full of items and again the door is locked with a lunch sign on the door.
