China City — Restaurant in Clearwater

I ordered food delivery like i always do and they somehow made it for pick up and left it sitting there for an hour he verified my address? So its Christmas Eve and I'm hangry. I used to from them when i have the money, no more I will not spend another dollar there. Its Christmas Eve, and I have sat here waiting for food that is not coming. They actually called to offer me the old food thats been there over an hour waiting half off. This must be a joke, seriously some kind of bad joke.

Edit: The owner gave me credit which the staff refused to honor they kept telling me that I had to have the gift certificate. I went in person so it was embarrassing. I was never given one! I really wanted to go back and have a good experience but that was not the case. I got the same excuse new staff. I just dont understand why y'all can't get it together. You used to be the best Chinese place around now, I cant even get food. Your manager said I had to have the gift certificate when I left he called me? My experience at China city was amazing food was top notch 👌 😋 👏 so the kindest thing happened while we were at China city i came up 6 dollars short on a 36 dollar bill times are tough for lots of folks,as is with myself barely getting by with high cost of inflation in the whole USA 🇺🇸 the owner helped me with my problem instead of taking off a item on my bill she compt me for the remainder 6 dollars I thought this was such a great act of kindness and appreciation for a regular customer over all these years coming and going from this location..you bet I'll pass on any other Chinese restaurant as long as China city and there staff are serving up the downtown district of Clearwater Florida thank you for your kindness,says along your actions this beautiful night God bless you and your staff! Update:12/8/22( another Thursday) First time ordering delivery( bourbon chicken is my go to, when I can't decide). Delivered pretty fast but we're only a few blocks away. Delivery person was super polite and I am happy they deliver! Thanks China City!

First visit: Thursday evening. Not super busy but might be best to call in. There is a kiosk for ordering( for chip cards only). Once there, we decided to eat in. There was only one other customer eating in. Everyone was friendly and professional. Bourbon chicken with fried rice was fresh and delicious. Chinese donuts were yummy as always and you could smell the cinnamon as they came out fresh and hot. Crab rangoon is the best, inside was creamy and delicious, outside perfectly crunchy. Only flaw was the egg rolls, something different about them and i didn't care for them. This place is a great place to take out, especially when downtown clearwater, plus servings are huge! Sad that it doesn't open until 4 on...
