The Apartments at Nautica — Local services in Cleveland

Though I have not lived at The Apartments at Nautica for very long, I feel like I will stay in the honeymoon stage forever here. I am so happy with - EVERYTHING about this special building! As an architect - I appreciate the basic good bones and skip the frilly stuff aspects of the place. “Rugged and ready brick basic” in the best location, within reach of everything I need or want - by bicycle. The manager, Gina is fantastic in every way. She and Joe take care our needs and the building's maintenance with a great and competent spirit and attention. The rent is very reasonable for the wonderful living space. The common roof deck is a great bonus - and again, not fancy, but who needs fancy with the view up top! As someone who works from home, it is really quiet during the working hours. Despite there being a lot of car traffic on the bridges overhead, the sounds go up, not down. I like the sounds of music people at night here in this entertainment mecca at night. Its not something that interferes with my sleep at all. I cannot say enough good things about The Apartments at Nautica. I am so grateful that I got the call from Gina that an apartment was available! My family member lives in the building. They were so excited to share their beautiful apartment with us. Apon arriving the front entrance had leftover garbage from the night before. Up the elevator to be greated by more garbage and unidentified vomit or dog something left to dry on the floor. Finally into the apartment and it is beautiful. Visit for an hour and leave for lunch not sure if the building tenants woke up at once but the hall was full of cigarette smoke and the smell of skunk. Had lunch came back the walking through the halls my eyes were on fire, entered the apartment and greated with the smell of skunk, as if the creature was living under the counter. Lessons learned by family member, visit your next apartment at different times of the day before you sign the lease!! ...

My wife and I have lived at Nautica Apartments for almost 6 years and have seen its ups and downs under different managers and maintenance people. We have always had good, quick responses for maintenance issues, especially when our furnace went out. Nautica The previous rental manager let some dubious people rent space. There were strong pot smells, noise and trash issues in the past. Those situations were cleaned up when the new manager Violet took over. She is friendly and efficient and eager to work to make tenants happier. The new maintenance guy is pretty nice also. We have really enjoyed living here and gathering on the rooftop with neighbors and friends to enjoy the Cleveland skyline. Management and our gardening tenant have done a great job making the rooftop a beautiful spot...
