While in Cleveland for a business conference, I looked out of my hotel room window at Lake Erie and thought "What a great day for sailing!" After looking at some local charter operators, Captain Scott's website just resonated with me. I took a look at the radar and saw a nice pocket in the weather so I reached out and he was available. Rounded up a few clients and colleagues and headed over to the marina in the afternoon.

WOW.

The experience was something that will forever be a core memory. An amazing mix of Cleveland history and trivia along the shoreline, a great time with friends old and new, and a wonderful sailing experience. From the moment you step aboard, the Wabi Sabi feels like a boat you've sailed on 500 times and Captain Scott is your seasoned sailor friend you've sailed with 499 times. The sensation when the main goes up and the diesel goes off is pure, unadulterated zen.

This will be a go-to every single time I am ever in Cleveland in the future, and coming up here just to go experience sailing on the lake past the breakwall will probably be on my summer agenda.

I absolutely recommend sailing with Cleveland Sailing Charters. My husband and I, along with our dog who we got approval to bring aboard, set sail with Scott and his first mate, Snega, on a sunset cruise this passed weekend and it was fantastic. I can't say enough good things about our excursion. You can book online, but I recommend calling and speaking with Scott in order to set up your, what will be perfect, adventure. Update! MAY 2024 we sailed with Scott again and this time with a full party of 6! Once again, our experience with Scott on the Wabi Sabi was phenomenal. I highly recommend setting up a charter to sail even if the extended forecast for your desired date is a little iffy. Chances are it'll work out to be an absolutely lovely day. And, as before, Scott with work with you! So give him a call, he's truly a genuinely nice human. I cant say enough...
