Beautiful small park in the flats with one of the best views of the Cleveland skyline. This is the spot used by most television stations when they want a skyline backdrop. This photo was taken from Heritage park at twilight. Right across the river via the swing bridge. Update: Unfortunately the city decided to "improve" the park by cutting down the trees, remove the grass and pave the whole park with cement. It's not finished yet but I presume they'll finish it similarly to the "beautification" of the park across from the West Side Market. In that park, they also cut down all the beautiful trees, paved it over, and put cement boxes where they installed small trees. I have to say that I don't understand who, or why, this can happen. Does someone in government think this is a good idea? It kind of scares me. If these tragic decisions are made to destroy the public parks, where else is this complete lack of judgement destroying our city from behind the scenes. Yes, parks are easy to see the impairment of any sense of proper judgement. What are they doing outside the public eye? I shudder to think...

I have spent a lot of weekends walking in this area. Great view of the city as well as beautiful place. Good for a walk. Perfect place for a walk with loved ones. Great spot to hangout with friends and family. Wish there were food places as well other than the high end restaurants at the flats.

This was my first time in Cleveland. I walked down to Heritage Park in the morning. Some construction noise, but hey, it's a city. I found it beautiful in a gritty way. The view is a feast for the eyes - layers of history reflected in the architecture, wonderful bridges. Peaceful.

Nice view of the skyline from here. But if you’re looking for the scenic wooden boardwalk/benches and large beautiful trees, you will be sorely disappointed. For some incomprehensible reason, it appears the city thought it would be a great idea to wreck the beautiful boardwalk, chop down the trees, and replace it all with a lifeless sea of concrete and a cheap-looking metal railing. It looks hideous. One of the most beautiful spots in all of Cleveland has been stripped of all its character and all its charm. Everyone who signed off on this extraordinarily-misguided redesign of what used to be a beautiful park...

Nice place to view the Cuyahoga, but there are no facilities like a bathroom and cabin their is never open an needing obvious repairs. The trash is removed regularly. I often find homeless sleeping on the benches in the morning. The Cleveland metropark system just started managing this place so I expect these things...
