Cheers to Steve and Carli at the Flat Iron Cafe! The Flat Iron Cafe was buzzing with energy, but amidst the lively crowd, two stars shone brighter than the rest – Steve and Carli, the dynamic duo behind the bar. They weren't just slinging drinks; they were weaving magic with their infectious smiles, phenomenal memory, and lightning-fast service.
In no time, they had transformed a room full of co-workers, into a vibrant community of friends. Steve remembered every newcomer's name, greeting them with a personalized touch that made them feel instantly welcome. Carli, meanwhile, was a whirlwind of efficiency, crafting cocktails with the precision of a seasoned alchemist and keeping the queue moving smoother than a jazz riff.
No matter how complex the order, no matter the size of the crowd, Steve and Carli tackled it all with a grace and good humor that was truly contagious. They weren't just bartenders; they were the lifeblood of the evening, keeping the conversation flowing, recommending hidden gems on the menu, and even diffusing brewing tensions with a well-timed joke and a perfectly shaken martini.
By the end of the night, the Flat Iron Cafe wasn't just a bar; it was a stage where Steve and Carli were the headliners, delivering a performance of exceptional service that left everyone wanting more. So, if you're looking for a night of good vibes, flawless drinks, and a reminder that even the simplest interactions can be elevated by genuine kindness and top-notch service, head to the Flat Iron Cafe and ask for Steve and Carli. P.S. Did I mention they have a knack for whipping up surprise shots that'll leave you speechless (and maybe a little tipsy)? Just another reason to raise a toast to Steve and Carli at the...
Read moreI was going to not write this, being it was bar food. However after the treatment of two people in our party by the rude waitress now I am and everywhere I can. So food, ok nothing special, definitely over priced bar food. My Reuben had extremely tough corn beef that was cut into at least a dozen different sizes and thicknesses. The rest of the people in our party of 12 all had similar experiences. So not only was our waitress unfriendly but incompetent. She gave two people in our party the large when they both ordered the small with the excuse, oh I just pressed the button and that's what you get, obviously in an effort to boost the bill for the 20% gratuity added to the bill that in no way did she earn. Then instead of handing us individual bills she brings one. Proceeded by an attitude when we asked to split it(which she handed us a pen and said you separate it) Finally to top off this glorious disaster she misplaced one check of the party and argued with them that they didn't pay, which was untrue since one of our party got up and looked through all of our checks and found it folded up, did the waitress apologize to the two she accused of trying to to skip out, nope still rude to the end. So yeah for myself and the large group I represent, never again. If this is your last choice in Cleveland go to...
Read moreFood was great, atmosphere was okay for an Irish bar/restaurant. We were automatically charged 15% gratuity with only 4 adults and 2 kids. Not a big deal, but still a bit annoying. I added an extra few bucks to make it 20%. My issues with this place stem from something I could have prevented but were made worse by our server and the manager. I didn't look over the bill as well as I should have (i was rushing to pay for it without my father noticing) and as I added up the bill in my head on the way home, I could tell we were over-charged by about $15-20. I called them back, the server started reciting the items on the bill, asked to put me on hold and then hung up on me when trying to put me on hold. When I called back, she said they were too busy and would call me back when the dinner rush died down. That was 2 days ago and I still haven't heard back. I honestly don't know if it was an honest mistake or intentional, but for 6 meals, all between $7 and $12 dollars, a $6 appetizer and 1 pop for $2.50, and $9 for tax, our bill should not have been $95. Lesson learned on many levels I guess, but I won't be back anytime soon.
10 days later, UPDATE: Never heard back, and quite frankly, a drive out to Cleveland for $20 really isn't worth it. But when you say you're going to call someone back,...
