This is the most confusing concert venue I have ever been to. My husband and myself bought tickets a month in advance and saw there was assigned seating so we definitely jumped for those tickets. We saw that the price for them were over a 100 dollars a piece but that’s a small price to pay for assigned seating right? Well we were wrong, those seats are the smallest “seats” I have ever seen. They couldn’t be more than a foot of hard plastic. There were two larger people sitting on either side of us and they were literally sitting on top of us and mind you the concert has not started yet.
We decided to seek out merch while waiting as the first band was beginning. After buying the merch which took us only about 30 minutes, our seats were taken by the people that were sitting on either side of us. We talked to the staff and explained what was happening. She kept insisting that they needed to move. We couldn’t even fit in the seats in the first place because there is zero space. I asked if it was ok if we stood then in general admission since there was nothing they could do about the seats. She then tells me that I cannot do that because we didn’t buy those tickets.
So hold on so what you’re telling me is we just spent over 200 dollars to not be able to watch the concert. I don’t even understand how this is possible at this point. We were so angry at this point we left and as we were leaving one of the staff working asked where we were going and then told us there was no reentry. How can you be denied access to a concert that you bought tickets to and have proof of them? That might be new but I have never heard of that before. But it’s not like it mattered there was no place for us to go in the whole venue.
I’m honestly still shocked that this happened and I am hoping that there is someway that we are going to be able to get our money back. I find this to be so strange from a venue that has these concerts all the time but still hasn’t worked out these issues. I say this because the other reviews that I have seen recently had similar issues. To anyone reading this I would err on the side of caution buying the pricey tickets because more than likely they are not worth it. I’m still not even sure what general admission was because it seemed to be everywhere.
The parking was up charged about 20 dollars just for the concert and there were people selling t-shirts out of a back pack screaming “half price” as they stood in front of our cars on a side street and almost got hit several times. They then followed people into the parking lot where they walked up to your car and asked again if we wanted “half price” t-shirts.
The place is honestly stunning but there needs to be some serious updates on how it is run. I don’t see how these issues are still as big...
Read moreIt is nice in the area it is in, by the water. The place is nice too, but when I was ordering my tickets from Live Nation, I asked if they have seating for handicap and she told me first row (not the floor, with folding seats but, where theirs start.) I said ok. When we got there, and we're heading to out seats, I was totally disappointed they were like bleacher seats, no back to them. How is one with disabilities suppose to sit like that. My disabilities are my knees and multiple injuries to all 3 parts of back. I need the back of chair for support and take edge off the pain. We explained to one of the employees and she found her boss and they gave us folding chairs in front of the section next to ours where people with wheelchairs and such sit. Really nice of them, until the concert started. Everyone on floor stood up almost through the whole concert and we were unable to see, even if I stood. I asked the people behind me if they could see with me standing and they said yes. They say you can see the stage from any seat. Right, not true. I was totally disgusted with the whole situation. I mean I paid $130+, along with $20.00 parking. And to have anything kind of beverage or food was crazy. 20 oz. Bottle of Pepsi $5.00. I mean I won't buy at store, because they are $1.89. I mean it would be so upsetting, but I think the company could charge like $2.00-$2.50, maybe even $3.00, but $5.00. Soft Pretzel was $4.00, but a thing of Nachos...$8.00. Beer and such was in double digits. I don't know if I will ever go back. They don't even have screens on each side of the stage, so you can watch it, if you can't see. So, if you haven't been, I hope this helped you out on...
Read moreWe went to a concert on August 10. We bought two beers for 32.40! Yes, that’s $32 for two beers but that’s not my problem. My problem is that they charged us 64.80! That was our entire beer budget so we only got two beers because they refuse to refund. It said it was pending. It would drop off. It never dropped off. They said if it doesn’t drop off by the end of the show to come back, we did they did not refund the money. They said call back tomorrow we called They said they’d refund it they did not. Then we kept calling no one would return our calls. Finally after emailing every day and calling every day, somebody called us back and said they were escalating into the bar manager. No call. We finally got an email back asking for the last four of my credit card. That was two weeks ago and they have still not attempted to contact us again or refund our money. I have now leaving messages daily and emailing daily because I don’t think it’s fair. They’re not only are they going to overcharge for beers but they’re not going to take responsibility when one of their people make a mistake. Mistakes happen I’m fine with that. Just give me back my money so I don’t have to waste all of my time trying to get it back like this. I shouldn’t have to beg for what is mine. Bar manager, you should be ashamed of yourself ignoring people like this. They really need new staff at Jacob‘s pavilion or to train their staff and customer service and what to happen if they make a mistake and overcharge a customer. Buyer beware if you’re going to buy beer at...
