Zero stars. Absolutely terrible service up to and including the owner.
We had a party of 12 which we tried to call ahead and the set a reservation for but they denied to take our reservation. The. When we got to the restaurant and put our names in, they told us it would “only be a couple minutes” but failed to come get us when the table was set. They also had plenty of open space in the restaurant, so no need for a wait at all.
But the real issue came in when only three of the 12 meals came out in a fair amount of time. The second round of only 2 meals came out 25 minutes later from the first set. Still leaving a majority of the table without food.
Then after addressing the issue with staff they said they will go assure the rest of the food was to come out. And that was still pieces at a time. Ultimately, the last item, coconut shrimp and onion rings, (two items that take three minutes in the deep fryer) came out an hour and forty minutes after the first set of food, not just after when we placed the order
Once all good was out, it was agreed upon that the Alfredo pasta, raviolis and chicken sandwiches were poorly cooked. The shrimp on the salad was under cooked. Mash potatoes were industrial powder bagged potatoes.
Meanwhile the manager, general manager and owner all walked back and fourth from our table and was aware of the issue but failed to address it or attempt to help their kitchen staff or waiting staff. A failure of leadership and poor moral character.
Once it came time for the bill, the entire table was disappointed and disgusted with said meal that took three hours. The my first offered to cover the drinks…. But soon realized that wasn’t enough. Then said the food that came out pat was free. I’ll be honest, I wasn’t satisfied with that either and asked to speak with the general manager while the owner literally sat in the table next to us the entire time. They then offered to comp the meals that came out last. When I asked politely to speak with the owner, they called security and had them surround me as if I was being violent or a disturbance in any way which I was not.
While speaking with several servers and security members, they stated that they very often receive complaints of service and terrible timing.
While speaking with the owner himself, he admitted that this is typical service and that he is okay with the service that his business puts out and the way his managers treat customers. It is a shame since our server was polite and had to be brought down by the owner due to his lack of customer service.
Ultimately a member of our party agreed to just pay the 1/2 discounted bill so we could walk out. After being treated a rudely, surrounded by security and severed disgusting food, that was more than generous. I’m not one to complain but I couldn’t pass on this opportunity to make sure this establishment is said to be what they are.
And a spit in our face out the door the manager offered a discount coupon for our next visit which we turned over to another poor customer that was stuck waiting for food from a disrespectful...
Read moreWe arrived early for a Saturday night dinner (a little after 5), hoping we’d beat an evening rush. We did beat the rush, except there was a long wait in line anyway. The hostesses barely interacted with patrons. Never explained the wait when we could clearly see many empty tables. She didn’t speak to us, so we really weren’t sure if we should follow her to a table or what. We did. We were seated. It took a while for wait staff to arrive, and when he did it was to tell us he’d be back soon. I told my husband we needed to be patient, because we see the news- short staffing is real. Spoiler alert: By the time we left even I had completely lost all patience, and I’ve been told I have the patience of Job. When the waiter came back we ordered drinks and dinner at one time to make it easy. About 50 minutes later, we finally saw the waiter again and my husband succeeded in waving him down. He blamed our wait on the bar but miraculously had our drinks to us within minutes after that. We waited probably another 15 mins+ for our food, which was now tepid at best and not exactly what we ordered. I decided to just eat the fries instead of making a fuss about the onion rings I had actually ordered. Of course, when the bill finally came, it reflected an up charge for onion rings I didn’t get. I say finally because we waited another long span to get the bill, so long that I had to talk my husband out of just walking out and stiffing them for the bill instead. When we expressed our unhappiness to the waiter, he was very annoyed and said, very snarkily, “Whatever. I’ll get a manager.” (We hadn’t asked for a manger). The manager took his good old time getting to our table, and in that time I had to again convince my husband that walking out would be wrong, although I was becoming less convinced of that myself with every passing minute (and believe me, there were many passing minutes). My husband straight up told the manager that our experience was so bad he should comp our bill, to which the manager replied that being seated for 2 hours was absolutely expected and “ you ate the meal, didn’t you?” In the end he reluctantly and snarkily comped our drinks. When we got the adjusted bill - yep, you guessed it, after another wait - it included a 15% tip. Audacious. Bottom line, we paid $10 to park and $68 (adjusted to $45) to spend 2-1/2 hours in a restaurant, almost all of which was waiting, to eat cold burgers and fries we didn’t order and drink one drink each. We used to love Shooters. We’ll never go back. Suggestion to staff: Treat your patrons as if you’re happy they came. Keep them posted on conditions (actually let them know you’re short staffed, if that’s the case, so they know what they’re getting into). Friendliness goes a looooong way. My attitude is always to give the staff a wide berth, but you lost even me. It’s like the ownership of Shooters is trying to go under. I don’t doubt...
Read moreAbsolutely horrendous service! We came here about a week ago on a Sunday night. There was about a 45-50 min wait so the hostess encouraged us to grab a drink and watch the live music while we waited for our table. We were finally seated, right by the water too which we were happy about. We initially sat at our table for about 30 mins with no service! We finally flagged down a worker to let them know to which we were told "our server left and our new one would be there in about 5 mins". Annoying but ok whatever. 15-20 more minutes pass and we STILL did not have a server come to the table. Finally someone with us tracked down a manager, a very young woman, who basically argued with us that they thought we had already been taken care of because we had drinks at the table (but still had menus in front of us too). Like are you kidding me?! We didn't have an open tab for our table, so obviously the drinks were already paid for elsewhere. We still had menus in front of us, which would have been taken at the time an order for our table was taken. And you mean to tell me that even though they thought we were "already taken care of" that we shouldn't have been checked on once or even twice within an hour period of time?! Absolutely ridiculous excuses. Finally after she stopped trying to argue, she apologized and brought a server over and personally offered to come check on us later. My husband also had a bad experience with one of the bartenders who first ignored him completely standing there for 10 mins, then gave him attitude and argued with him that they couldn't make the drink I wanted that they previously made another one of their other bars earlier. She finally made it and complained about how busy they were and the "day she's had". Our server was good, food was ok (definitely overpriced though), bathrooms were absolutely disgusting and dirty. It was only 9:30 and they didn't close until 11 but they were trying to shut the place down already so we felt rushed to leave after all that. I only gave 2 stars because we were comped 20% of our bill, but truly they deserve only 1. I don't believe "the customer is always right" but you definitely need some employees and managers who don't think it's okay to argue with said paying customers just because they clearly hate their jobs. We will probably never be back after this...
