I lost four-hundred-and-fifty dollars because of this store.
I walk in one day, looking for a laptop on the cheap. Of course a sales guy swings right up, and wants to guide me through the whole process.
Now, I've worked at Best Buy, and I was shocked at how alike this salesmen's script was to ours, down to the fake inane chitter-chatter. He did very little, but you always need a sales rep to get your laptop for you at these stores.
As a previous reviewer mentioned, he also pulled the Rebate-And-Switch tactic. If this is new to you, a great amount of items on the shelves are listed at a price you'll never see, unless you follow their obtuse website-and-snail-mail rebate system. The rep knew this, but "remembered" at the check-out lane. The stickers themselves are vague, small print, and lacking detail on the steps.
So I felt screwed, of course, went home ... and my wonderful cat was kind enough to get water all over the thing.
It's not entirely their fault. I, being a cat owner and previous laptop owner, left a glass of water next to my hardware. Hey, dumb, I know, and props to Spooky Man, my cat, for getting me good.
But that's why I bought the accidental coverage, y'see. Since my days of working at Best Buy, I've always purchased the additional insurance - being a cat and laptop owner.
So I call their repair center, or the insurance company they outsource it to, and twenty-minutes after a "registration process," he's kind enough to inform me that my warranty is not the accidental I thought I bought. The cashier gave me the hardware protection plan.
But how - how - does this happen? How can one mistake the regular hardware plan for the accidental on their terminal? Because that's what my Staples cashier did, and I did not find out until I called the insurance company. Who buys hardware plans? Hardware is old a month after its release!
Heck, I even lost the receipt, went back to the store, asked them to re-print it, and was told again I have the Accidental plan.
A call to the store solved nothing. It's a lot of apathetic college kids who give you the generic, "We're so sorry!"
I now have a water-logged 350 dollar laptop and a worthless 100 dollar hardware plan I never wanted. Do not shop here. Do what I should have done and buy online. Forget this...

While the team members at this store were very professional, my complaint is with Staples. I came here to buy an office chair--and didn't want the hassle of making and setting up my own from "the swedish store."
Here's what happened. I found an office chair that said ASSEMBLY was an extra ~$20. But once I went to the register, they told me that this assembly happens IN STORE--I still would have to find a way to get it home. I have a mid-sized car, and there's no way that giant office chair is fitting in my trunk. So, it's misleading at best, or deceitful at worst, to tell customers you are going to assemble something for them--but leave them hanging with delivery.
They said they could deliver the chair for me--but if I wanted it assembled AT HOME, it would be $60 through a third-party service. Why don't they show this on their price tag in the store???
So I did purchase the third-party assembly--but even though I spent a good 10 minutes giving Staples my address, phone number, and information (the screen timed out multiple times, so I had to give the info multiple times)--when I got home, I received an e-mail from the third party service saying I need to call them and set up a time.
This entire purchase, from start to finish, was both confusing, misleading, and a TOTAL HASSLE--and convenience was the entire reason I chose your store in the...
Read moreI am a small business owner and I went in one morning to the staples print and marketing department to have a sign made. I dealt with a very pleasant, friendly, and knowledgeable Staple associate, Morgan Moore. She took great care of me as she placed my order. She even saved me some money by suggesting making some changes that made complete sense. Later that afternoon I was revising the space I was going to place the sign I had just ordered and realized I had given Morgan the wrong dimensions. So naturally, I panicked and called the store to speak to her. She put my mind at ease by telling me that even though the order had already been placed, that worst case scenario she would make the proper corrections herself if the original order could not be fixed in time at no extra cost to me. Long story short, she spent one of her entire shifts prior to when the order was meant to be completed making the sign just the way I wanted it. She truly went above and beyond to make sure I received the right sign for the intended space at my shop. Morgan truly cares about helping people and Staples is extremely lucky to have her! I would recommend anyone looking to have any print and or marketing products at the Staples in the Lennox mall center. Just ask for Morgan! She’ll take great...
