Omg! The manager very tall black lady name starts with a Q horrible when it come to getting your hair done. First she was upset that I was tender headed because I wrote that in the notes and then she was upset that she had to work along side with the assistant manager. I forget her name. Then she had there nerve to be pulling my hair apart in the shampoo bowl and it was just snapping MY HAIR DOESNT SNAP!! I asked are you breaking my hair she was like no barely any hair coming out she was a liar!!! Then she was combing my hair crazy and had brushes full of hair throughout the service I had to stop her and comb my own hair! Let me remind you I treat my hair and I keep a routine I came here because I booked too late and couldn’t get my normal stylist and I needed my hair done asap. And I got exactly that SPLIT ENDS FROM THE DAMAGE SHE CAUSED AT THE SHAMPOO BOWL AND ROUGH COMBING AND THIN HAIR LIKE IM SERIOUS SHE PULLED OUT A LOT OF MY HAIR AND SHE WAS LIKE YOUR THE SECOND PERSON THAT TOLD ME YOU MONITOR THE HAIR BRUSH WHEN BRUshing . Damn right I do. Never again go somewhere else I’m so sad...
Read moreI visited this location recently and had a frustrating interaction with one of the employees. A young woman with straight, bright red hair approached me unsolicited and gave a product recommendation speech that didn’t fit my hair type or needs. That’s fine—I wasn’t going to follow it anyway.
What wasn’t fine was the way she hovered and spoke down to me at checkout. She questioned the number of bleach packets I was buying with a tone that felt condescending rather than helpful. Then she asked if my hair was porous, but said it in such a mumbled or unclear way that I had to clarify what she meant. When I did, her energy made it feel like I was supposed to already know or that I was asking something dumb.
It wasn’t a helpful or welcoming experience. I called afterward to see if I could learn her name for this review, but she didn’t answer the phone. I hope management sees this and reminds the staff that tone and attitude matter—especially when working with people who have textured hair or aren’t following the “mainstream” beauty playbook. We know what...
Read moreI’ve taken part in their new salon services, and I have to say it’s amazing! Despite not doing color correction Rani was able to get rid of the orange at my roots and give my head a beautiful makeover. Perfect for my wedding here in a few weeks. Not only were they clean and very knowledgeable about how hair and dying works, but they were friendly and more than happy to help me understand how to take care of my new hair and how to improve at home dyeing processes to be healthier and prettier for the the hair. They kept reiterating how they open up the salon to help educate people for the hair, they are even going to have classes to teach new skills too, but also they are there for an affordable salon day. I paid less than 100$ for an all around color and my hair has never looked this good. Will definitely come again....
