All of the new positive Google reviews are from the owners and their family friends! That should not be allowed!! This place is so awful! If you value your loved ones' health and safety and want the best for them, then avoid this place completely! The health and safety of the residents in the place is never a priority. We've reported them multiple times to the state and no one has ever done anything. Obviously the state ombudsman doesn't care about the residents in this facility either. The residents in the memory care unit are completely left alone with no employees around. Multiple residents have experienced injuries and needed hospitalization for unknown reasons. The online ad for this place says there is a nurse on duty. No, there is not! In the past 2.5 years, there has never been a full-time nurse in the facility. If a nurse is needed, the aides have to call her, and she rarely answers and will only show up if the aide has already called ems. Residents are neglected and left in soiled briefs all day because the morning nurse's assistants refuse to do their jobs. Several residents have been treated multiple times for infections and have need to be removed from this place because they are not getting cleaned or treated properly. The kitchen staff is a bunch of high school kids that couldn't care less about the quality of the food. There is nothing gourmet or even nutritious about their food. Dinner is usually a sandwich of some sort. If the residents are late for dinner, they are denied food until breakfast. The urine odor is extremely pungent, and instead of treating or cleaning the problem, they cover it with something very strong that actually makes it worse. The residents' rooms are carpeted and never get properly cleaned, even after repeated accidents. The facility continues to raise the cost of rent but reduced the amount of hands-on care provided. Caregivers are ordered to document all time spent with the residents so It can be charged accordingly. The caregivers/ nurse's assistants are getting their hours cut to the point where there is only one in the facility on the graveyard shift. The website also claims to provide medication management. Sure, if you can count a bunch of teenagers passing out medications, including narcotics, with absolutely no training or ever even shown the medication system and just left alone by the so-called people in charge. The problems in this place are systemic. They start at the top with the owner and trickle down through management and beyond. They will do whatever it takes to cut costs and make a profit even if it means putting the residents in danger. They just don't care!
EDIT: My name is not Lily, and I'm not a recent employee. I don't know who you think you're responding to but, that's not me. I have had several family members who have worked here, I know several residents, and I visit here often. So I've heard about and have seen the problems first hand. This place is not under new management, since I was here last, but nice try. These are current issues, and nothing has been done to resolve anything, but again, nice try!!!
REALLY? trying to make your facility look better on Google with false reviews?? Especially being as the Ericksen's are the owners and leaving positive reviews to make their company look better. The owners are part of the problem. As I said before, these problems are systemic and...
Read moreIf I could put a negative one rating, I would. I am so disgusted with the shape and condition of a woman that I visit, living situation. It is abhorrent. She lives down one of the longest hallways at the very end .The average visitor doesn't see the shape that her room is in. If that were the case, people would run. I was aghast when I walked in to see black huge circles of stains all over the floor. The air conditioning doesn't work in her room so she has to have her own personal air conditioner unit in there and it doesn't do much so she has to leave the door open because it's cooler out in the hall. It is dingy, dirty and there is no reason for it. It's disgusting. The thing that boggles my mind is that I have been there when people have brought her lunch and dinner. Are they blind? Do they not see the huge stains on the floor and not at all feel like this is wrong? I don't care whether she's paying for her the room herself or insurance is paying for it. That doesn't matter .What matters is that she's a human being and is living in filth. She is not able to walk around because of being paralyzed and can't walk.. I would think if someone were in that situation that she would have someone looking out for them and helping her because she can't do it herself. Do they not have a carpet cleaner? Does anyone ever vacuum? She can't vacuum. She can't even stand up. It's disgusting. I am livid that someone is living in such filth ,where in the front of the building things look bright and pleasant and well furnished. And the doors are open so you can see. And it gives you a completely false idea of what it really looks like. I really want to bring my carpet cleaner there and clean her room. I think that would give the wrong message to the people who work there. If you just leave it let someone else do it. And so you just ignore it. She's already really depressed. Her situation is grim and it's hard to feel the weight of your problems even more because of your surroundings. About seven or eight years ago I came to look at country pines with the possibility of my dad living in the independent apartments. I was okay with that. But the more I looked around I realized that I would rather have him live in our house. And we did. One of the best decisions we've ever made. I don't do many reviews, sometimes I don't know if it makes a difference. But I hope that someone at country pines would read this and really let it sink in that you cannot have people live in such terrible circumstances. They would never, never allow their own family members to live the way she lives. It could be really a good place. A lot of potential. People need to take off their blinders. Freaking do their job. And respect the people who have...
Read moreSorry there we're wonderful people that came to me to see if I can come live with, I ask about the sanitation situation there, and my concern about why we don't have our 9wn bathroom in our room and why we have to have a shared community bathroom with people that are incognito that needs the same bathroom, as everyone needs in the section of the building, and they we're saying it's only six other people that needs it as well so it should not be a problem and iwe can assign you to a new room that will have a bathroom in it.
So I agree to it. Later they called called back and they rejected me due to the fact of dressing the sanitation situation that they don't want anyone to talk about at all, and that is why it is omited from there website, because the care about individual sanitation needs.
So that is why the one star rating, because they don't want people to talk about their individual sanitation situation there at their Facility Canyon Pine.
Hope that's...
