Tataki Sushi Bar — Restaurant in Clinton

I'm an UberEATS driver. Not once but twice now I've accepted to pick up orders from here, both times I was close to ten minutes out, I arrived, told them "I'm here to pick up so & so's order" then they go hide behind the counter (mind you they're not busy & have to go orders sitting on the counter the worker goes & hides behind the entire time I've shown up & waited) I stand around & wait ten minutes, still nothing, no updates on how the orders going so the orders been active for 15-20 plus minutes now. So I've just cancelled & walked out. Especially since us UberEATS drivers don't get paid by the hour & don't get paid to wait especially 10 plus minutes more after we accepted & drove to pick up an order ten minutes out from the place. Maybe the $12-$15 "offer" from Uber was a reason why it's that big was because the order has been sitting there (not the actual food because they don't even bother checking on the food) longer than before & cancelled by others it reached me. Wouldn't surprise me. So I've blacklisted picking up from here & don't recommend people...

Came here for my birthday and the place wasn't really busy. They took over 20 minutes to deliver each of our dishes and we got our food at different times. One of us didn't get their food at all, the waitress stopped by to ask if we wanted the check and we mentioned one of us didn't get our food. We asked if we could just get it taken off the bill and move along, she mentioned that wasn't a possibility if the food had already been made. She apologized and felt bad which we understood but then we waited a bit longer and when she came with the food she asked if we just wanted to get it to go instead of just handing us the food. The entire experience was bad, the food was very very bland, chicken fried rice only had 2 small pieces of chicken (i cannot make any of this up) Guests that came in 10 minutes after we had already ordered got their food before any of us. We were told the people in the back were packed with orders yet others got their food before us, same sized parties too. I apologize but i would not recommend anyone...

I am very honest woth my reviews and while I am picky when I'm going for a specific type of food such as Japanese. I am honestly not happy with the food. While Japanese food is my favorite cuisine I also have a bit of a higher standard for it but even if I rated this on my lower standards of food I just can't see how this place got a 4.6 rating. I gotten the shrimp and veggie tempura, coconut shrimp along with a beef and chicken bento box. And honestly I was more disappointed this time then other times. Even with the watered down sauce provided (which isn't anywhere close to enough for half of a meat item). Unfortunately, I will not likly be coming back to this one. This place reminds me of the bad idea of making sushi into a fast food restaurant. A fun idea that should stay just a idea. If you want good Japanese food at a decent price I do recommend to go else were. For the quality of food it wasn't worth it.
