This location is where chocolate dreams go to die. I was in at Christmas time and despite being customer number 6, with two workers doing customization boxes, it took me 45 minutes to finally receive service. Went back today for Valentineās Day candy and was subjected to new levels of inefficiency. When I was in at December they did have one counter where customers were able to purchase premade items, but for some inexplicable reason, today they were making everyone stand in one line. They are only allowing so many people in the store, so rather than checking out customers and then allowing new customers to enter, everyone got to stand in the rain for hours. I arrived at 9:15am and did not leave until after 11am. But I guess fool me twice, shame on me. I will not return to this location. The workers are slow and unhelpful. They were concerned about keeping customers outside and not allowing them to check out in a timely manner, and yet didnāt bother to monitor their second entrance. Somewhere around the hour mark I almost wish I had just picked up some of the boxes on the shelf and walked out. The best part was I got to pay even more for this experience, as they have raised their prices...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe candies were typically delicious and nicely wrapped, and it was nice to be greeted with a sample. However, the prices were exorbitant. Previously I received a discount for working at Community Medical Centers but lost my discount when I lost my job after I reported a concern about ethics. The gentleman said that was unfortunate but sometimes you have to sacrifice your career for your ethics, but there would be no discount. No discount for seniors, or for staying in Fresno and retiring early to care for my elderly parents during their final years. I felt I served CRMC well, had excellent reviews, took the moral high ground, and rather than moving to the bay area to take a high paying job, I stayed in Fresno to care for family. For that reason and the high costs, I may be reluctant to return. Sorry to give a less than glowing review as I have lived this company since...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI remember how special it was to go to a Sees candy l store as a kid, and I'm so glad that there is still one around. It looks like it's closed when I drive by because the parking lot is usually bare and the windows are covered with some sort of paper window shade (I actually thought that maybe they went out of business after COVID) but boy am I ad I decided to stop in and see! They ARE open and their candy is as good as I remember... Inside was clean and very organized, the staff was Super friendly and very givvy with the chocolate samples (which I loved, thanks Patricia!) I don't know if sees costs more than other chocolate gift boxes, but It's not as pricey as you'd might think- and it's worth every...
