Amazing new northern chinese store that is so well executed in contemporary design and branding. Absolutely adore this decor and design choice, huge win compared with other bland safe choices many restaurants choose.
Incredibly warm and friendly staff. Extremely clean and well maintained dining area with an unapologetic open kitchen that showcases great hygiene in and out of the kitchen.
Delish juan bing (rolled crepe) aka chinese burrito, not jian bing (folded crepe). Extremely nostalgic flavors that are not drowned in sauce and flavor. The coated paper wrapping needs a bit more work design wise, a bit too thin so it doesnt tear off cleanly without delaminating the inner waterproof coating side. Regardless, great choice for a fast and healthy lunch that isn’t boring Cava/Chipotle.
Mung bean noodle salad was also pretty good if you want to feel healthy haha.
Chili oil being $0.50 extra is a bummer, they should have a jar for dine-in customers to add haha.
Great choice on espresso bar setup with a big burr Malkonig and built in espresso group head. Ordered a great balanced affragato.

Read moreThe place had a really cool vibe but the food and drinks were super disappointing. I had the seaweed egg drop soup and it was one of the worst egg drop soups I ever had. My first issue was it was completely clear and bland. It tasted like boiled water with a pinch of salt and seaweed thrown in. It was also 5 dollars which is pretty expensive for the quality you’re getting. You can get a really good soup at eastern gourmet up at north campus for 3 dollars. I only ate half of it and my stomach began to feel weird after eating it. My friends got 2 drinks which looked very pleasing but did not taste the best. One of the drinks was a coconut matcha tea which none of us were a fan of. It seemed like the flavors didn’t match well. The other was a sparkling violet peach drink which my friend was a fan of but to me it tasted like carbonated Powerade which I didn’t find the best. My other friend got the fried rice and upon tasting it, it tasted like white rice with a pinch of salt and drizzle of soy sauce. SUPER bland. Maybe I just got all the wrong things but was really disappointed and had high hopes for this place. Don’t think...
Read moreLi Chun Cafe is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, the warm and welcoming staff make you feel at home. The attention to detail in every aspect—from the beautifully curated interior to the presentation of the food—is next level.
The menu features authentic Chinese cuisine with a modern touch, including perfectly crisp and flavorful bing, hearty rice bowls, and inventive takes on traditional Chinese sweets. I tried the Yanji Spicy Sesame Bing, which had the perfect balance of crunch, heat, and rich sesame flavor. Their Mango Yogurt Latte is just as impressive—refreshing, creamy, with an unimaginably perfect balance of fruit and coffee flavors, making it the perfect complement to any dish. All their teas and coffees are artfully crafted, making each sip an experience of its own. I can’t wait to go back and try more!
Every dish is thoughtfully prepared, and you can truly taste the quality and authenticity in every bite....
