Royal Farms — Local services in Collegeville

I'm not one to leave reviews but after today I don't think I'll be returning to this location for anything except for snacks and gas. The gas prices are great (use the rewards card!!!) and they have a pretty good snack selection. The Royal Farms brand chocolate bars are really good!! That's about all the good I have to share.

I've had food from here a few times and so has my family and usually it's been pretty good. The last two times I got food here I wasn't impressed and today's meal actually caused an anxiety attack for me. Previously, I got the mini chicken sliders that they no longer sell. I had them once before that and they were amazing until the second time when the chicken was weirdly pale. I ended up eating it, brushing it off as anxiety and I was fine. Cut to today, I ordered chicken tenders and went back to the car with my order and I thought they had forgotten the chicken and just given me a box of fries. The chicken was so pale it blended in with the french fries and was the same color. This scared me a lot as I have severe emetophobia and uncooked food is a fear of mine. I ended up refrigerating it and then airfried it a little to the point of being overcooked once I got home. That was about an hour ago and when I went to eat it, the chicken tasted like fish, it was absolutely disgusting and I spit it out into a trashcan. One tender tasted fine and I ate about half of it before anxiety took over and I threw it all away. Now I'm in and out of the bathroom and don't know if it's from anxiety or the chicken.

I personally have never had any issues with the staff at this location but some of them have some very poor personalities and attitudes. There's a younger girl who works where the chicken is and she frequently looks like she's in a bad mood and has given me attitude once or twice when in there. Another time, two co-workers were talking poorly about another one of their co-workers while she was in the bathroom, stating "she's probably on the phone or taking a sh*t again". That poor girl was using the bathroom and I knew because I was in there after hearing that!!

This location seems pretty understaffed and has bottom of the barrel staff, mainly the kitchen workers. Those working the register were usually pretty kind. I went in very late one night around 11pm and they were counting the money from the registers which meant they couldn't help customers. One lady was being very impatient and throwing a tantrum and the worker at the time did her best to maintain a positive attitude, even trying to bond with the customer over what appeared to be their favorite colors, purple. This location needs more workers like her. Shout out to you, lady with purple as her favorite color! You're officially my favorite and only employee I like at...

Worst Royal Farms out there. Went in to redeem my free items and the employees were tripping up. They didn't know how to work the machines and they FORCED me to pay for the drinks even if I had the coupons. So I lost multiple free meals and coupons. They said they couldn't do anything about it. All the employees (there were only 2 on the shift) on one machine yelling at each other. Held up the line for 30 minutes to the point that people were getting frustrated and leaving. I was about to ask them if they needed help because they were absolutely lost. In the end the employees somehow broke the register or something. Come here if you want to waste an hour arguing with employees, teaching employees how to use their own register, and if you want to be irritated. If I could give this location no stars I would. This experience messed up the good reputation Royal Farms had with me. Please do not enter this property if you like Royal Farms. Period. May God bless America and you with your struggles...

I normally don’t bother writing reviews. Just move on to another place. Rude and cannot be bothered. Sums up workers. (One elderly gentlemen the (exception) on first visit did see him that was 6-7 months ago. Don’t bother with self help check out. That crashes but not before it takes your money and then the rude ones that can’t be bothered finally tell you “to come to “their” register.” Where they take your money again !!! So you pay twice for same meal which, by then is cold. The chicken is good but not at 2x price and the time it takes to get checked out. Getting the extra charged removed just indicates workers follow “manager” lead in rudeness. That experience was not worth trying to get money back . Still have not seen credit but not worth stepping back in this store third time to find out. Should have listen to family member that warned me against this place. He lives 5 minutes away. 0ne...
