901 Bowl — Local services in Collierville

If I could leave zero stars I would. I don't recommend going to this bowling alley. This is the worst alley I've ever been to, from the staff to the facility. The bathrooms have chunks missing from the floor and wall. It smells like someone poured 5 gallons of beer in there. The shoes are so old, they have holes in them. The lanes broke down every few balls thrown. The problem with that is we paid for 3 games. I called at 2pm to reserve lanes for 20+ people for 7pm. We got there at 7 and they told us we had to leave by 8:45. I told her that we thought they were open until 10. She said "we are open until 10:30 but have a private party coming in at 9". She never told me that on the phone when I reserved. We could have bowled all 3 games in that time frame, but we didn't know we would be waiting due to the lanes being broken half the time. The staff were not in a hurry to do anything and were kind of rude. So when we left at 8:45 we stood in the parking lot until 9:15 talking....no private party ever showed up. The staff was in there vacuuming and shutting down. They also had their very under aged kids in there working. They just wanted to go home early. We will never come back to this janky bowling...

I have never been a victim of RACISM until today! I took my little cousins to FunQuest Skating Center in Collierville because they wanted to Skate and play Lazer Tag. As we were approaching the door, a Caucasian lady stepped outside:

Her: I'm sorry, you're not welcome here!

Me: Excuse Me?!

Her: You and your children are not welcome here, we have things going on and you are NOT welcome! NOW LEAVE!

Me: Okay well is there a manager I can speak to because this is a public facility.

Her: But it's privately owned Smirk

Dear FunQuest, you DO NOT EVER have to worry about me coming back! What happened today was discourteous, uncivilized, and quite frankly, rude. That was a place my church had been to, family gathered, and young adults come to relax and unwind. But as of today, I will NO LONGER patronize your business. I'll stay my distance and keep my money! I stay away from the black and white debate. I've never seen color.. We are one race, the Human Race! But MONEY is Green and my favorites are Blue so I'll keep them in my wallet...

We bowled here as a family pretty consistently (few times a month) during 2023. Tonight was our first time bowling in 2024. It appears to be newly staffed as we didn’t recognize anyone working there. This new staff was quite apathetic in their service. Our lane stopped working twice during our one game and required the person in the back to fix it. The third time the lane stopped working we waited 15 minutes for it to be fixed. We spoke to the attendant at the front desk twice during this 15 minute window. At the 15 minute mark, the front desk lady approached us and said, “so are you guys just done?” We decided to just out on our showed and leave without finishing the game.

Also of note, the employees kids (maybe 4-5 kids under the age of 5) were running around and climbing on the chairs as if it was a day care.

We are not impressed. Having been consistent patrons for over a year, I feel that the recent changes to the staff are a big step in the wrong direction. Our experience tonight was a disappointment and likely won’t be coming back if the service...
